Basically, in a nutshell, rooms are clean, located near the train station, which is great, pretty quiet at night even though there are lots of planes flying overhead, located near plenty of shops and a massive park,nDownsides are rooms are too hot, and the supplied fan does very little to make it comfortable for sleeping. It really does need air-conditioning. Parking is not free, the Internet is also not included, is overpriced but I guess it's because you can have as much as you like, not great quality either, so in our case it was expensive bowl of cornflakes and tea, that could be improved easily, orange juice was watered down so much on the 2nd day but was fine on the first day, shouldn't really be watering that down, overall it's not somewhere we will stay again unless it's in the winter or they have air conditioning, staff seem to be a bit thin on the ground but all were very nice and helpful
Basic accommodation, but that's what I was expecting. No real complaints other than the room was very warm and stuffy, thankfully it wasn't that warm outside but on a hot day it would be unbearable.nnHotel is otherwise clean and tidy with all the basic bits you need. Breakfast is fine. Plenty of places within walking distance for evening meals.nnCar park is cheap but very small, probably fewer than 30 spaces which isn't a lot for a 5 storey hotel. No guarantee of a space so if you leave you might not find a space on your return despite having paid up front.
I'm VERY fussy about hotels and feeling like they're squeaky clean. This Travelodge is definitely the cleanest one I've stayed in. The bed was spotless and the room was minimal and it felt clean. The staff were kind and helpful, storing my bags for me when I was early for check in and my room had a beautiful view!
It’s not the best place to be at. It’s a 2 star hotel for a reason. No air conditioning in rooms especially bad in summer, small windows, no WiFi unless you pay for very slow wifi £3 per day, small useless TV, expensive food, and worst of all staff consistently and REPEATEDLY coming into your room “accidentally” even when my door is LOCKED… they should not be able to unlock it if I have the door physically locked… it’s fine if you only need a place to sleep and are otherwise outside for your trip, but if you’re thinking at all of staying inside for a bit, then go somewhere else.
Room pretty basic, but comfortable. Shower tray was blocked and took ages to drain away. No hair dryer in room which you would think would be standard. Coffee cups, coffee etc not replenished during our 2 night stay. Parking very good right under the hotel. Location excellent as just around the corner from Teddington high street.
