We arrived at the hotel just after mid day. The welcome from the receptionist was brilliant. Our room was not ready upon our arrival, but she could not be more attentive. We had a welcome drink, whilst she enquired as to whether our room could be finished quickly. In no time we were able to collect our key and she arranged for our case to be put into our room, whilst we looked at the area. What a stunning place. We would definitely go back. The breakfast was lovely.
I was attending a travel agent function, hosted by a respected travel publication.nnWe were hosted in a function room downstairs, but didn’t get the opportunity to stay overnight.nnI have to say that I was mightily impressed by the extremely high level of service from the team, with each of them being polite, efficient and welcoming towards their guests. Nothing was too much trouble.nnThe food we had was outstanding, and was of a very high quality.nnIt was most substantial and definitely not painted on a plate, only to be charged a six figure price.nnI took pictures of my meal, which I’m sharing with you on here. Each course pastes as good as it looked.nnIf I’m honest, I would never have thought of having duck with its accompaniments, but it was superb.nnThe lemon posset was divine, and was so fresh. I’d have gladly taken a couple of tubs home with me had I had the opportunity.nnAll in all, a superb place to eat, with excellent views.
We spent two glorious nights at The Mitre in Hampton Court. We were welcomed by the resident car parking chap who soon found us a safe space to leave our car for our stay. The reception staff were so friendly and we must thank Sabrina and Jeya. We stayed in Mary, a room overlooking The Thames with loads of space, a large bed and top notch cotton bed linen. We also had very hot weather so the in room air conditioning was perfect. We loved the Library where we rounded off each evening with a nightcap streaming our choice of music through the Juke Box. Hopefully it will not be too long before we enjoy the excellent hospitality once again. Paul Bentley.
Lovely hotel , bit on the expensive side , but the wife thought she was worth it . We had dinner in the brasserie, the food was very good and the service was very good , we did go on a week day so was quiet. Would recommend if your visiting the palace as the hotel offer tickets when you book the room on there website , just make sure its a day the palace is open as its closed on two days of the week . The reason for 4 stars on location was the amount of traffic we sat in to get there.
We stayed in the twin room for the Tom Hines concert in June & we’re very disappointed in the room & facilities! The room we were in was dirty & in desperate need of updating!nThe valance in the bed was quite disgusting, not even ironed. The toilet flush was very hard to push & often did not flush. I expected much better from a hotel charging over £300 a night. At breakfast we were given a menu with prices on, we were not informed until we left that a hit option was included in our rate! If we had been told when we were seated we would have partaken in it. Maybe it’s there way of saving even more money! Would kitty here again. Waste of money.
