Stayed overnight as part of a trip up north and was really impressed by this hotel. It's nice and central in the town being a 10 minutes or so walk from the train station and bus station. Rooms are extremely clean and well presented, and we're ready for us to book straight in when we arrived. As Bolly was with us, we had a room on the first floor overlooking a really nicely converted office building and over reception. The only thing I would say is that the bathroom though completely functional, was rather small and the shower curtain not very good at keeping the floor dry as the shower was extremely powerful. The bed was very, very comfortable. I don't sleep that well, yet I slept a full 8 hours without being in pain when I woke up. We didn't eat in the cafe, but it looked extremely clean and tidy, with a bar as well. The car park is round the building with additional parking at the side of the hotel and is free. Disabled parking is available directly opposite the reception doors. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, helping us with a slight problem with the key card not working the lifts. I would definitely say it's the best Travelodge we have stayed in and look forward to staying again when we travel that way in the future.
The location was excellent just beside the road, close by restaurants and plenty of supermarkets, etc. But the cleanliness was quite poor, the bathrooms did not have any soap or hand sanitisation liquids, they were all empty bottles, the bathroom and toilet was quite stinking with a very strong pee stench. The bedroom floor was not clean, and quite dirty. The bed sheets on some of the beds did not look clean. They do not have any room service to make the beds, etc. They only simply fill in the coffee and sugar sachets, and empty the bin. It's a nice new clean Hotel. Cafe/bar on ground floor, super friendly staff. You can meet all sorts of odd and strange people when you have a cigarette outside the front doors at night!Rooms: 4/5
Visiting Bolton overnight, and our stay was excellent. Friendly staff, comfy rooms and a good nights sleep. Checkout was quick and we were greeted with a friendly smile from Mehwish. We would not hesitate to stay here again.Rooms: 5/5
Carl, Emma, Kevin... Thank you all for a fantastic service. 2 weeks training at Diamond, you made me and others feel welcome at Bolton.. would recommend staying here any time. Thank you. £2.75 for a Stella bargin happy hour!Rooms: 5/5
Was expensive for a budget hotel. Room cost 110. The pipes made noises all night and the shelf in the bathroom which you would often lean on while using the mirror would fall off. Staff were great.Rooms: 2/5
Didn't sleep well here even though the bed was lovely and comfortable, think the double glazing needs renewing all I could here all night was traffic going passed from the road. We went for some food and drinks here and was told there was no draught beer, this was a Friday night so ended up with expensive bottle beer, food was ok. This Travelodge is one of the dearest I've stayed in for an overnight stay. Room was basic but had everything that was needed. Wouldn't stay here again
Can't fault the place. Nice staff, really clean, good breakfast. Where it is was a bit away from the film festival and I didn't enjoy the walk in the dark, although it's only 15 minutes away.Rooms: 5/5
This is one of the good Travelodges we have stayed in. Our room is on the 5th floor so the view from the window is lovely picture shared. The only drawback is no cupboard in the family room, so no place for the luggage except on the floor. The dinner options are okay & so was the breakfast.Rooms: 4/5
Bed spacious and comfy, easy location to get to. I feel with it being a major hotel chain that they should also provide a safe/secure locker in the rooms to keep important/valuable items when you leave the room to go out anywhereRooms: 4/5
