The climbing centre is one of the biggest I've been too, the staff were friendly, helpful and happy to be there. There are many different rooms including gym equipment and a cave. The routes were varied and the whole area was clean and tidy. Very large and plenty of space for many climbers, would highly recommend and will be returning.
It's safer and fun than l expected. They have different levels, the entry level is suitable for almost everyone even if you don't have experience. The service staffs were very kind. They provide storage space but you need to bring your own locker. Quite enjoyed it, will definitely visit again. Membership costs £5, and the entry fee will be £9 instead of £11.
Massive bouldering gym, and finally had some Wideboyz cracks in the training room! The training room is big, and it also has a massive overhang/cave thing that's great, especially with the big crash mats that follow you up. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Does good pizza if you need food too. I've had a few private instructor sessions here and they have been really helpful, would recommend. Parking can be an issue when it's busy though. [UPDATE] they added a pink route with a crack in it! I couldn't be more happy! Yeeeeaaahhh!!! Would give them six stars of I could for this
Brilliant boldering at the Depot. The staff are always happy to help and its very reasonably priced. The routes are reset regularly and are a good range of difficulties. There are three very big climbing areas, a cave area and a gym with a circuit wall. They serve food and have a nice range of refreshments including fresh ground coffees and cold drinks. There's also shoe hire and a shop for any additional climbing gear in the back including shoes, creams, chalk, Tshirts, ropes, pants and more. Definitely recommend for any climbers nearby of passing through with the time. Keep it up The Depot!!
I had never been before and found paying and hiring shoes very easy. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the whole place has a really good vibe! Definitely going back and fully recommend Depot Climbing.
Updated review - 2022 Kids review I’ve returned to this climbing centre with my 3 year old. We initially went when he was 1.5yrs old and he struggled because they only have vertical walls. They have 2 walls with a load of holds but no obstacle type area. This time he managed to climb to the top on both the areas. The area is small so he lost interest pretty quick. There’s a nice coffee shop at the enternece. And baby changing area if needed.
Amazing place to climb, indoor boulder. Friendly helpful and knowledgeable staff. Centre is clean and tidy. Café is very good reasonably priced and the best pizzas around.
This is the best climbing gym I have ever been in. I mostly tried the orange boulders which were both super interesting and hard. And the spraywall , boards and mega roof were awesome too, there was just soo much to do.. Staff were friendly and seemed geuinely proud to be working in such a world class facility, they also gave us an extra pizza free. I think I'm going to be depressed for about a month when I go back to my home gym.
Excellent climbing gym. One of the biggest around. Three rooms, a large cave section and a training section with gym equipment, moon boards and a spray wall. Friendly staff that offer coaching. Can recommend Kallum for a coaching session.
Great gym andd best pizza in Manchester! Deserves 5 stars but if theres a massive queue you have to wait by the door for new people to register. why not have a self service sign in for members. There's never a big brush around and if they are they're all broken anyway; chuck away the broken ones and stop being so cheap. Little things like this let the place down.
