I’ve just moved to Manchester so I Google the place and it says closes at 3:30pm so I run over with my toddler and we get there about 3:18. The girl who works there Indian I think was so rude, to the point I was literally shaking Mind you, I’m holding a baby. If your post office is closing at 3:30, you gotta work until 3:30 or else change your times online to 3:20 and if you hate your job that much, just quit instead of being that miserable. You don’t even deserve 1* star review. Also If the guy comes to collects posts at 3:20, then just tell customers coming after 3:20 that you can take their orders but it will be posted tomorrow. It doesn’t really take much to be kind. You probably got the job because you know the shop owner because honestly I can’t imagine someone actually hiring you and ignoring all these reviews.
I agree with all the bad reviews. The lady is so rude. I’ve never experienced anything like how rude and unhelpful she is. A serious lack of customer service. Would definitely not recommend using this Post Office.
Give them a break, its a post office! I haven't had a bad experience, personally. I do agree, it would be nice if the hours could be verified by the business owner and sanitised to make sense with modern life. Otherwise, there is a newly refurbished interior which is far nicer than it has ever been and the treatment I receive when frequenting is prompt and courteous.
I have used it before cos it was handy but today went in a rush to drop something off and had my 4kilos dog in my arms. The shop was empty, and the girl there, a colour woman, and I say this cos I don’t want her to be mistaken by other one, kicked me out really rudely. I tried to be nice about it but she replied to me as if I didn’t understand English… so I left without even saying anything. She must not know what a minimum of customer service is since U work towards the public. Treat as U want to be treated. I recommend you to walk to another one and don’t get frustrated as per a sad person in life not knowing how to talk to customers.
Unbelievably rude staff member. Notorious around the area. I only use it in absolute emergencies because she is just genuinely so unpleasant to deal with. Shame as it's close by and handy, but I refuse to give them much business. It's almost comical how rude she is, like going to a 'Karen's Diner' novelty restaurant where they are rude to you on purpose. The Post Office's own website say it closes at 3.30 in the week, she refuses to take mail after 3pm. Strange.
Not sure why this post office has bad reviews. They are very polite and very helpful. I come in about once a month to cash some cheques in, they are always so lovely, all of them! Thank you
Staff here unhelpful and even go so far as to say rude on numerous occasions. Use post office in the Lowry instead, they’re really helpful in there.
Update: Originally gave 1 star but after another recent visit, realised that was way too generous. I've tried to post/return packages at this post office seven times yes, I've counted, and zero of those times I've actually managed to do so. I don't care that the staff are rude yeah, they talk to you like you're a piece of s**t, but that's just customer service for you. What I don't understand is how this place continues to call itself a post office when I have never ever been able to post a single thing here. It's become an ongoing joke between me and my partner whenever we need to post something. These are the excuses I've been given: the label printer is broken when I asked when it'll be fixed they didn't know - fab, the post guy isn't working kinda necessary to have the one person who can post things actually on duty at a POST OFFICE, but ya know, and every other time I've gone it has been closed despite arriving at the open times stated on the front door. This place cannot keep calling itself a post office, because it isn't. Only go here if you want to be given an excuse as to why they can't post your stuff in a really rude way that makes you wish you were dead. If that's what you want, you'll have a really nice time here. Original review: This post office never appears to be open, even within the times that are advertised on the front door? It says 10:30am to 3:30pm Mon-Fri which is just a ridiculous and incredibly inconvenient time considering normal working hours, and even though we've come to drop off things multiple times within those advertised hours, it's never open? Today we went at 2pm to drop off a package - not open. It says on the door it closes at 3:30pm... what's the deal with these opening hours! Why are you never open!
Very bad service. Asked the lady for how to send my DVLA form the best way she said to just send it. Now my BRP is lost. The worst service ever
Seems impossible to actually use the post office. I’ve been three times trying to post the same item. First time the store is randomly closed in the middle of its supposed opening hours, second time the label machine is broken, third time again in the middle of opening hours I was told the post office is closed he’s not working. Im stunned this place is still open.
