Totnes is a lovely place to visit full of a wide range of shops for many different types of people. There is a market of local traders and car boot types of stalls on Saturday's. It's a slightly steep incline but when you get to the top there is a microbrewery pub at the top where you can eat your own food and drink a good selection of beers and other various other options

A load of stones people put together to make a shape long ago. Doesn't look like much now, I'd put a new veranda in and a swimming pool. Get some decent heating system in there and a cinema in it. Normans weren't that good on interior design though.

Nice visit but it is short. Don't be worried about using tbe on street parking near the bottom of castle street. One hour is plenty to walk up to tbr castle nip to a gift shop and grab a pasty.

Little bit barren but a good example of a Norman keep with informative views of the town. In a wonderful part of the world.

In the town of Totnes, right on river Dart.. the surviving stone work is clearly at least few centuries old. we have been to Totnes many times, and we make it a point to stay nearby so that we can take lovely morning/evening walks. if you are around Totnes or in Devon in general, I highly recommend to set aside some time and explore this. cheers ..
