Gym, pool, clubs excellent but one major problem that I have is the changing facilities. This gym prides itself on being a family friendly gym, however, children who reach their 8th birthday are not allowed in the changing room of the opposite gender not even the family cubicles nor are they allowed in the changing room of their own gender by themselves until they're 16. This makes it so difficult for parents with children between 8 - 16 of the opposite gender as this 'family gym' haven't provided adequate changing facilities. When I asked staff what children between those ages were supposed to do their answer was that 2 staff members would take them to the changing rooms - not good enough really! Also I wasn't made aware of this rule before I joined. Very misleading. They keep assuring me that they'll convert an unused office into family facilities - so far this hasn't happened. Prior to learning the new rules I would have given this gym 5*.

The gym itself is exceptional for an English chain. Plenty of Hammer Strength equipment, dumbbells to around 60kg (maybe even slightly more), a couple of squat racks, battle ropes and a climbing frame.

Since the recent renovation, the changing rooms are vastly improved...genuinely impressive!

The one downside, is the inability to just visit for a few days. They try to charge £15 per visit, which is utterly ludicrous.

I've been a member here for nearly a year and I really enjoy it, I've definitely noticed a change in my shape and even my general well-being - the added bonus of a sauna, steam and jacuzzi after every session is worth the membership alone!
I take part in a couple of classes a week and find the instructors here bright and full of energy that keeps you going. The Les Mills GRIT and body pump sessions are my favourite and the mix them up with new routines every couple of months or so. 
Its clean, well equipped and there are PTs here, k would recommend a Session with Coach Danny if you do!

Great gym, if you live locally I'd take it up. But if you're visiting, or only want something temporary, give it a miss. Trying to scalp people with £15 to enter the gym PER VISIT and no option for a week pass or anything other than a full membership, utterly ridiculous.

Very spacious gym with separated gym and cardio sections. Impressive pools and facilities. Gym usual busy 5 -8 pm when people finish work.
