We have always loved the restaurant but we visited in very early Jan 2024 and were served with filthy cups, teapots and milk jugs. I had my cup replaced as I wasn't going to drink out of it. The manager tried to blame the teapot stains on the tea we had spilled but we only had hot water in them to put our fruit tea bags in later. When I poured the milk out of the jug the inside was covered in black mould stains but the manager refused to accept that it was unhygienic and just kept saying it had been through the dishwasher and did not apologise. There is no way the place would get through a hygiene inspection and we won't be using that restaurant any more. Wheelchair accessibility: Good access for wheelchairs and walking frames
WOW called in for a quick coffee plus and can honestly say the place was heaving must be the half term holiday as lots of grans and grandchildren but even so 5stars all round. Vegetarian options: Always one option available on main selection.
Very busy cafe but service was good and quick. Staff very nice.Service: 5/5
Everything clean and tidy with plenty of seating inside. Coffee really good. Comfortable covered outside tables and seating available for those with dogs. Carrot cake moist and tasty, but pricey at £3-50 a slice!
Picture is not relevant to the coffee, but let me tell you, I was surprised. First of all by whole garden centre, and shortly after by good coffee and dessert in coffee shop. Place was huge for at least hundred people, clean and well organised with lovely view over back garden. Membership even offer some free hot drinks.
6 of us had lunch here today. 5 of us had our food brought to the table and 1 of us had to wait nearly 10 minutes for theirs. Spoke to waitress and she said they were just preparing it for him. Several people were served the meat pie, which he was waiting for, whilst he waited. When it eventually arrived all the waitress said was 'enjoy'. We burst out laughing at the cheek. No apology for their tardiness. Disgusting.
We keep returning! Food choices are great. Breakfast served until 11.30am then lunches. Plenty of desserts for after. Not keen on the Rivingtons tea, the service can be a bit slow, but worth the wait. Lovely setting with lots of tables. Dietary restrictions: Staff always ask if there's allergies when you order food. Plenty of veggie options. Parking: Plenty Kid-friendliness: Children catered for and highchairs available. Wheelchair accessibility: Wide aisles and easy access on one level.
Very busy on a Sunday morning but very nice visit all the same
Food lovely Coffee lovely Very busy from 12 noon but queue is fairly fast moving. It is slightly confusing over which queue to join, as one queue was for food plus drink and the other side drinks only. We wanted both, so we were asked to queue on one side for food ordering, then the other for our drinks once our food was ordered.... but further up the food queue when ready to pay we were asked would we like drinks? Which we specified at the beginning that we did...bit confusing in all the ordering part.
Lovely food and a fabulous selection of cakes.Food: 4/5
