Visited early Saturday only a couple of tables occupied. 2 members of staff on duty. Completely oblivious we had sat down. Waved to attract their attention as busy folding napkins. Got their attention, had to ask for menus and ordered 2 coffees while we decided what to order. We sat and sat and sat until I noticed our coffees were going stone cold, my daughter stood up and went to counter to pick them up, 2 staff members were open mouthed but didn’t move or apologise. We ordered our food - bacon bap with black pudding, food arrived, no bap, just bacon and black pudding. She went to get a bap. Trying to pay - nobody there we literally could have just walked out, 3 people wanting to pay, no sign of anybody, my daughter had to go hunting for someone. It’s a definite NO from us. Won’t be visiting cafe ever again
Bad experience, went to buy two Rose's, and a birthday lunch, cafe was grubby service poor ,ordered from menu two bottles of still water,got 2 glasses of tap water Ordered one tuna sandwich and one beef sandwich ,got two tuna sandwiches, when we told the waitress She said they had no beef ,we came away with no Rose's and no lunch We had made a 40 mile round trip So not a happy birthday
We visited the cafe this morning..stood there for a good 5 minutes...two staff on the counter just completely ignored us....we havnt been before so wernt sure what to do..do we stand waiting to be served or do we sit at a table...still no eye contact with the staff..we decided to sit down and look at the menu. ..then to our horror saw the chef with an enormous long black beard...omg the thoughts of him handling food we looked at each other both got up and walked out..we went elsewhere. ..your staff are rude and will lose you custom...think you need to sort it...
Sooooo poor, kitchen is busy, really, so few people in. Wait to order 15 mins, coffee arrives 15 mins later. Now, 55 mins since entering and no food - really !!!!Food: 3/5
Sadly took ages to be seated, then ages again to have our order taken and again ages to be served 2 slices of cake and 3 cold drinks. Cake was nice but shame about the serviceFood: 5/5
Takes ages to be served to the point had to find a staff member, had offer on for cream tea and they hadn't defrosted the cream...cups unclean. Really disappointed, used to enjoy this cafe, not anymore. Positive staff are friendly.
The cafeteria used to be super-good, but recently the level of service and, most of all, the food quality, have drastically dropped to sub-zero level

The great start wasn't as big as expected, but tasted brilliant!
Delicious food , prompt service. We will be back
