I haven't been in to the Newton Abbot branch for a while but was greeted with a smile and great banter by the staff on duty. Very quick service too. Cheers chaps, added a bit more brightness to the day
Yesterday i needed to go to Newton Abbot branch for assistance with plumbing and aco drains. I was served by Ricky the young one! and I was blown away by his professionalism, knowledge and willingness to help and guide us with our plumbing issues and how this could be resolved. Ricky took time to explain what he was doing whilst also giving us options to consider. At no time did I feel like i was being rushed or fobbed off with an alternative that 'might work'. All in all, a real pleasurable experience here and on another note, the products we were looking to get were also cheaper than an alternative store, so win, win! Thank you Ricky, we look forward to seeing you again soon. Andy, Shane and Ollie sausage dog!
Toolstation in general is pretty good, quality, prices, etc. But the staff in Newton Abbot are just useless and rude, especially a large chap called Ricky! He could see that there was customers waiting to be served only 1 person on the other tills but instead of serving he just shouted across "bare with" and carried on walking about with a can of spray glue looking lost!! This went on for at least 5 minutes, until the other lad became free. Absolutely shocking customer service!!
Excellent Toolstation branch. I use it a lot to pick up bits for work, ideal for trades, but also useful for non trade customers just make sure you order online, it's easy and after you take the time to do it once you'll be hooked on it Staff are friendly and helpful. Well done to toolstation serving click and collect customers first. It's simple and makes sense to reward those who take the time to sort their own order online, streamlining the process for everyone.
Had a great visit to the Newton Abbot store today. Needed information on a bathroom light fitting and found the two counter staff - Tom and Aaron - really helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Will happily shop here again, soon.
Aaron gave exceptional customer service today. Went above and beyond to help us get the right fixings we needed. Great attention to detail. Thank you Aaron .
In general most of the staff there are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there is a older male member of staff who is not!!!!! My previous visit, he was quite short in his manner, and when I asked a question about an item, he replied in an abrupt way "I don't know" and just looked at me, Today I visited again to collect my order, and he served me. He addressed me as sir, etc, albeit very short, and as he came to the desk with my items, he read the attached receipt. As it happens he read it incorrectly, and obviously saw the confusion in my expression, as one item was different to my order. Without me saying anything, he looked at me, and said "that's what you ordered" slid the items on the desk, and walked off. As it transpires the order was correct, it was the mistake of the Toolstation Employee serving. This person in my view should not be serving/dealing with the public. There is no reason to be like that. Be nice, it makes you feel better!
Five stars I would have given 10 if I was able. The help and service that I received was to the usual very high standard and Sean makes it pleasure to use the Newton Abbot branch. Every Toolstation needs a Sean!
