After not having my hair done in a salon for about 8 years, I walked out feeling like...
I don't usually leave any negative feedback for anything, but my visit really unsettled me. I had never been to this hair dresser brand before and therefore had no idea of how things worked. So taking that into account -
I went in and asked for a fringe cut and was told to take a seat and someone will come and get me. More than twenty minutes later I was finally given a fringe cut, with no friendly customer service that you expect at a hairdressers, then she said bye and walked off. I proceeded to go to the till and asked how much I owed, to be asked if I was a customer there, I said no and got charged £5. While I was waiting on my card payment to go through i asked, 'so if I get my hair cut here the fringe cuts are free?' and he said yes. Then I realized that was why the customer service was slow and I wasn't treated like I was paying for a service, because in their eyes I'm a person looking for a freebie. First of all, I didn't even know, and wouldn't do such a thing anyway. Second - for all the people out there who do pay with them and do get free fringe cuts I hope the service is better for you.
In my eyes I feel like they judged me based on my hair, decided I didn't usually get my hair done there, and so didn't give me the customer service I expected. I left feeling uncomfortable.

Reliable, friendly, professional. Been getting my hair cut here for years, and I'm always treated very well, and genuinely believe that the stylist who cuts my hair cares more about my appearance than I do. Would strongly recommend to anyone.

I have been a regular at T&G Milton Keynes for many years.
Previously I have been very happy on the whole, and ALWAYS happy with my colourist who is great.
However there has been a catalogue of errors with my cut, which has required multiple return trips to try to correct various errors of length, thickness and generally plain wonky end results.
I am giving the salon one more chance, but will not continue to pay £60 for someone to make a mess of my hair. If I wanted that I think I could get it done cheaper elsewhere.
This would be a big step for me, but going on their present form I may end up moving my custom elsewhere, other than for colouring.
Shame, but may be necessary.

Majorly disappointed in this experience. I had not cut my hair in about four years and had previously been with a trusted hairdresser before I moved. My hair really needed to be cut and styled and I decided, with reluctance, to give another salon a chance.
Tony and Guy is a respected name so I thought they would do the job properly. They didn't.
What began as a pleasant conversation over my fears and worries of trusting someone to cut my hair, turned into a 45 minute disaster. The stylist was wonderfully friendly - I explained what I had wanted and she literally cut my hair with ONE layer in it when I had asked for a few and also a fringe. For the fringe, she literally cut into my hair in its centre parting and left it sliced, not blended in. She did curl it slightly but the harshness was still there. I began to panic.
I assumed she would go back to this and surely smooth it out. Then the appointment was over. She asked if I was happy and I explained how I thought there would be more layers, and she explained that I had really long hair, (which I do) and it just wouldn't look right and she had another client waiting. She also said if I booked for a longer session (I had no idea my hair appointment would be timed) she could have more time with me.
I genuinely persisted if there was any way she could add even gentle layers and that was it. She did tell me the pros and cons of having more layers which I fully understand, but if I had known she would cut ONE layer in my hair, for £50 I wished I had gone somewhere else.
I paid for a shambles of a cut and proceeded to the hairdressers two doors down who I am so grateful for, who fixed my hair. I really don't like to complain if there isn't a reason, but this was a horrifying experience. I hope other people have better luck than I did.

One of the best hair salons I've been to! friendly welcoming staff, really nice atmosphere. What's really good about this salon is they provide suggestions, I've never ever experienced that before. At previous places, It has felt like they have cut it as fast as possible to get to the next appointment, then I walk out and no one realises I've had it cut! This place is different they genuinely want to make you look good and take their time styling. Both times I've been here I've always received very nice compliments about the cut afterwards. Extremely impressed, thank you team T&G MK!
