I attended Rotherham Toby carvery today with my family for breakfast with Santa.nThe staff were amazing, especially Michelle who goes out of her way to make you welcome.nMy son loved his visit to Santa. I loved the fact Santa could remember him from last year. Such a lovely touch.nThe breakfast was lovely, great choice and piping hot.nFor anyone wanting a reasonable priced breakfast with Santa this is the place to come!
We came for a meal at Toby Carvery on the spur of the moment as we were shopping in the area. I had a voucher deal for carveries at £6.99. I did not have time to book but the restaurant was not busy.nnEverything went like clockwork, our server Kevina was friendly and helpful. We ordered our drinks, food and then shortly after arriving went for our carveries. It was not busy at the counter so we were served by Janet quickly. There were 4 meats to choose from and plenty of vegetables and potatoes plus condiments. The food was warm and tasty and we enjoyed our meals. Paying was quick and simple at the end of our meal.nnThe only criticism is the price of the drinks. I had tea but my mum had medium glass of wine and was not impressed with the cost.
I bring my niece on a Thursday as our after school treat and have dinner and just chill out. The staff always recognise us and everyone is absolutely lovely and so accommodating no matter how busy it is, especially Michelle/shell sorry if I spelt your name wrong. Today was extremely busy as well as them having issues with the card readers but they apologised and still kept on top of everything even with some awful customer shouting at them for an issue that wasn’t their fault. Love this place and I’m not one to normally leave reviews but seeing how they were spoken to today when doing their upmost best reminded me how much people focus on negatives and never remember to shout about the positives so here I am to say my niece and I love this place and will keep coming just for how lovely the staff are never mind the lovely food we enjoy as well!
This was our first visit and it definitely won't be our last. We arrived on a busy, rainy Friday at lunchtime. Despite the rush the service was excellent. The staff were efficient and we didn't have to wait long. We were offered a temporary seat while the tables were cleared and then a window seat. The food was outstanding and Everyone that we interacted with was lovely. We have a special mention for Jenna and Kadie who were super cheerful and extremely helpful. Thanks. Will return.
Called in here solo this afternoon after really fancying a roast and was really looking forward to it. Stood at the front and waited to be seated as the sign asks. Waited about 10 minutes and no one came. Not like they were busy either. It was 3pm and there was about three tables in. There was one girl on the bar who ended up coming to seat me, polite enough but obviously doing all the work as the other waitress was too busy discussing her private life very loudly. The food was terrible. All dried up and could tell it had been sat out for a while. The portions of meat given were absolutely tiny and I mean TINY. Ordered pigs in blankets. Didn't get them bought over until AFTER I had finished my roast. So a good 30 minutes waiting. The gobby waitress then said she would take them off my bill. I should hope so!! Asked for the bill, waited another 15 mins. I wont be returning and honestly this place gives Toby Carvery a bad name. Very disappointing.
