When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings – including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're Renfrew's favourite carvery restaurant.

Wouldn't bother with the "go large" unless you really want the 2 sausages... it's advertised as "extra meat and an extra Yorkshire pudding" You definitely don't get extra meat and you only get 1 Yorkshire pudding?! Have been several times to this one and don't notice any difference between the regular and large - other than the sausages. (You can obviously add extra veg etc though).
I don't rate the pudding either... sorry. Had profiteroles and tried 2 of the sundaes... they are just ok. Nothing special.
The carvery is really good though (that's why I gave 4 out if 5) and kids meals are decent.

My beloved and I have visited this placed probably about a dozen times in the past two years, and obviously we like everything apart from people's misbehaving brats,  sorry children.  Normally,  the breakfast buffet is fresh and well presented. But on Sunday,  I have to say,  we were very disappointed.   It could have been the fact that it was very busy,  but I can only describe the food that day as "stodgy".  Cold scrambled eggs. Watery baked beans. And someone left a potato scone swimming in the tomatoes. Most families' hygiene is pretty disgusting at the best of times, but,  come on Toby,  try and make the food look appetising.   Still,  all-you-can-trough buffet for four quid?? Shouldn't really complain.

Love the food here. Carvery is delicious and staff are very friendly. Breakfast has been good also, definitely worth a visit.

Would rate lower if we could. The food was poor and the atmosphere was depressing. The plates were rough with stuck on soap suds and my wife had a dirty glass. We are home now and have stomach aches. It was my first time at a Toby carvery and I will not come again. Too bad as my wife says she used to love to go to them.
