Great experience and way to finish our holiday! We went here for dinner the night before our flight back home. The service was outstanding and the food was simply delicious! If you are in the area you must try it! I think for me it was probably the best karahi and rogan josh I’ve had!
Situated just a bit out of the town centre, this restaurant came recommended by one of our party who 'had not had a bad meal here in 40 years of coming'. Indeed, it was very pleasing. Food was wonderful. Service convivial and attentive. Prices reasonable. Would definitely recommend. Parking: On street parking
Best Indian in the greater Glasgow area. We live about 25 minutes drive from this place now but frequently make the trip as there’s nothing else that compares. A genuinely good Indian.
Absolutely awful, chicken pakora so dried up possible reheat, nan bread not crispy struggled even to pull apart, poppadoms not crispy. Have used many times whether pick up, delivery or just eat and never been disappointed. So don't think I will be paying my hard earned cash anytime soon for something that should have been binned last night.
Great service. Wonderful menu choices. Lovely tasting food with very authentic flavours. Would recommend booking.
Has become our regular takeaway. Really good delicious food and plenty of it. Definitely recommended+++Food: 5/5
This food is inedible. Straight into the trash can. After good experiences at other Indian restaurants in Scotland—in Elgin and on Skye—I trusted the good reviews of this place. Of the five dishes we ordered, only the veggie pakora was edible. The aloo saag is…not describable in polite language. Think puréed spinach for babies and the face they make if you feed it to them. The chicken patia is just chicken in a vat of ketchup—slightly bbq flavored ketchup. Even the naan is trash. It is so tough you cannot bite or chew it. I called and asked for a refund for the bad food, and they offered us…more food.
The Heera is the only Indian takeaway I use. Even though I have now moved out of thier catchment area, I now drive there from Johnstone to collect. I've never sat in before until tonight though I wasn't surprised that it was just as delicious but with the added bonus of good service! If you're like me and can't handle anything more than a korma, get the Kerla. I was skeptical when I first tried it years ago - bananas in curry!! - but it's the only thing I have now. It's immense. Tried the paneer pakora tonight as well and again, unsurprisingly they were delicious. My partner tries something new every time we go and he has yet to eat something "alright" from there - everything that comes out of the kitchen is incredible.
Dined at Heera last night, having been recommended to try it. It's the best Indian food we've had outside Glasgow The food was excellent, not over-powered by too many spices, really delicious. The table buffet looked like great value but too much food for us! Complementary pappadoms, spiced onions and sauces were a lovely touch. We had vegetable pakora, chicken tikka bhuna, lamb karahi, pilau rice & the biggest naan bread I've ever seen The staff were so nice, the perfect level of 'attentive'. It's very keenly priced - we were particularly blown away by the wine prices
Not been in the Heera for many years but delighted to report that the food is just as good as it always has been and the service is first class. Prices at the Heera are also very reasonable for a sit-in meal.Food: 5/5
