Mega long queue for the carvery but was worth the wait. Good food, value for money. Staff were very polite and accommodating. The restaurant was clean. Don't let the queue put you off. Parking: Good parking even has an electric charging point for anyone mad enough to have an electric car. Wheelchair accessibility: Good accessibility for wheelchair users.
Great service. Jamie was a delightful server, incredibly well mannered and very attentive. One of our party had allergies, Jamie gave us all the relevant information and ensure the food was cooked separately. He’s a really asset to the team and made the whole experience enjoyable. Food was made to order and was received quickly. Would recommend.
Wonderful experience at this restaurant on 13th October. Everyone was so friendly. My sister has broken her wrist and everyone was very helpful, including carrying her meal for her. The food was very nice. I had beef, pork and Turkey with roast potatoes and veg. There was 4 of us and we all enjoyed our visit. Very nice. Service at our table was wonderful. Sam is lovely and was so friendly and attentive. We’re coming back today as a group of 6. Looking forward to our visit again. Xx
Tried out the Toby Christmas menu. It's only a carvery but the food is superb. Nice comfortable surroundings and a warm welcome. The choice of meats and freshly cooked vegetables is mouthwatering. Roast potatoes, mash, thick tasty gravy. Oh, the superb Yorkshire puddings. Easy parking and very pleasant staff make for a memorable visit. I'll certainly go there again. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
Sam our server of several visits always makes us welcome and provides a brilliant service. The vegetarian carvery is always lovely and great value for money. Always worthwhile booking in advance but there was plenty of room. Will always come here for a great carvery.Food: 5/5
We had dinner here today and were served by Claire, she was absolutely fantastic, her energy was amazing and had us all happy! I have dietary restrictions and Claire really pulled it out the bag and knew her stuff and made me feel comfortable, she helped my family with what they needed too. Food was excellent and very efficient.
I love this place! Great food and amazing staff. We can turn up with 8 people, and they always try their best to get us seated ASAP! Never been turned away and never had to wait too long.Food: 5/5
First time at this place and have to admit everything I’d heard about about the place lived up to expectations until the end. We went as it was my parents anniversary but sadly my father passed away not long ago but we never got here when he was alive. When we first arrived the place was warm and had a cosy feel, greeted by friendly staff and have to say the food was absolutely amazing, best roast potatoes I’ve had in a long time. Everything was going so well, staff were attentive until near the end. My mum ordered dessert and I had another drink, my son had unlimited refill of the soft drinks. Half way through my mum eating her dessert which she was enjoying, we had the bill slammed down onto our table by the waiter and he walked off. I wouldn’t have minded but we wasn’t even asked if we wanted anything else and we had not even asked for the bill at that time as my mum wanted a coffee to finish off after her dessert. We felt like we were being rush and the attitude of “you’ve eaten now so leave”. If it wasn’t for this I would have gave 5 stars but it totally ruined the experience there. We would have left a tip if it wasn’t for this. I think in future, the staff need to ask if the customer is finished and wait to be asked for the bill before slamming it onto our table. Parking: N/a
For what it is, this is good. Have only had the carvery here. The first visit I was reluctant but I have been back with friends who really enjoy it and I can see why. For under £10 you get a choice of roast meat, including moist yes, it’s moist turkey and as much veg as you can eat. There’s a broad choice of simply prepared veg. Nothing fancy. It’s honest and simple food. You know exactly what your ingesting with no mystery fillers. If I were to be critical I’d say that the roast potatoes could be better, but then my preference is fluffy and crispy which I imagine it’s quite a challenge at the quantity that they get through.
I went for Sunday lunch carvery with my parents, it was extremely busy, but the food was really good, the veg etc were all replenished quickly, the waitress Michelle was very friendly and welcoming. Just one suggestion: maybe the option of a gravy boat to take your gravy back to the table as judging the amount of gravy is difficult and would make it easier to carry your plate of food to the table without spillage!
