Here at Toby Carvery Highnam, we believe there's only one way to do our beloved British roast – and that's properly.

Story

When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings – including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're Gloucestershire's favourite carvery restaurant.

Haven't been here for a long time. Great experience, the girl at the bar was really friendly and welcoming. Would definitely come back again, highly recommended. Having two children we hardly ever get to go out. I'm glad we came today. 👊

Nice staff.very friendly. Food (carvery)choice of four meats. Enormous Yorkshire puds fresh veg.Good selection of puddings great value for money ....need to book gets really busy .

Good food most of the time, this visit carvery was warm but not hot, good size meat portion but this k it depends on the time and chef. It's my favourite place to eat as reasonably priced and a full belly. My partner not so keen she likes her food piping hot and found some veg too hard.

My absolute fave toby carvery in Gloucester, Great staff, Great service and lovely food. Chefs very polite and respectful and value for money

Our table was booked for 11.30 on the 10th March 2018. Arrived 5 minutes early and was seated immediately. The young lad that seated us told us the carvery wasn’t ready and someone would be over to notify us of when it was and to take our drinks order. We sat for 45 minutes without anyone coming over. To which I then got up and went to the bar and had to wait another 10 minutes to be served with 4 people behind the bar. When I told them how long I had been waiting they just said that they were short staffed. Eventually we sat down to eat and the food was great. But the service was atrocious. We didn’t have anyone approach us to ask if we needed anything or if everything was ok. We then asked the duty manager if we could put in a complaint and he said to google it. This completely ruined my birthday. I love Toby, but never returning to highnam!
