Chimichanga Gloucester Quays

My son picked this restaurant to celebrate his birthday, and we used Tesco vouchers to pay. The food was nice, and it arrived in very good time, delivered by friendly and helpful staff. It was a bit difficult getting the attention of the staff to get another drink, or pay the bill, but I think this was due to them preparing for the evening service, and it certainly didn’t spoil it.

Really disappointing meal on my son's birthday. He chose the restaurant, we later found out because he doesn't like crowds and it was virtually empty. Chimichanga was almost empty compared to the other restaurants in the area lots of them! which were busy and this one wasn't, considering it is pretty reasonably priced and portion sizes are OK, it shows how bad the food and service are. We understood why it's not popular when the food arrived. My starter was really salty and the salad was inedible- really limp and very brown. This was made worse by the fact that the place was so dark we had to use our phones to light up our table enough to see. Neither of the children enjoyed the chicken starters or burger mains which they have enjoyed in other places. We cancelled 3 out of 4 puddings as we couldn't bear idea of eating anything else there. Waitress looked bored silly. Only waitresses seemed to wear 'uniform' tacky t-shirt waiters wore normal clothes so it was confusing to work out who worked there and who was a customer - roughly equal numbers!

Good food, good location. Just didn't like that's a one huge room. I went to another one where I live at the atmosphere there is much better. However, Gloucester is still nice and the staff was friendly. We haven't had to wait too long for the food.

Waited for at least 45 minutes for too they bought half out which was dry and had to ask for the other half which came on freezing cold plates and meat was cold on inside. We complained so had to wait yet again for food and did exactly the same . Cold plate and raw food. Warm bowl of coleslaw ! Was told that's how they've alway done things so we ended up leaving and did not pay. Maybe you should warm up your plates and check how cooked the inside of your food is !

I've eaten here once, my wife twice. Food is served quick but is inconsistent when it comes to spiciness. Food came before drinks. Pulled pork was dry. Staff slow and disinterested. Won't be going back.

Love the food here from the first time i tried it. The quays may not be great for clothes but by far exceeds expectations for food. The only slight downfall was they clearly should have had a couple of more staff members on as they seemed to be struggling

The food here was lovely and really friendly staff. They have a good selection on the menu and the place is clean and tidy. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Great food and service, although they rush the food out pretty quick no sooner have you finished your starter the main is served.

Very tasty Mexican food with good sized portion sizes. Kids eat free, a d other good deals always on.

Food was cold... clearly microwaved. Definitely not worth the cost of the meal...even with 30% off
