Was very busy. Understandable on a Sunday. When we walked in the man on the desk, didn't even look up, and ignored us for a minute then said Name?! Was seen to a table in the smallest corner with a fireplace right behind one of the chairs, so it was a struggle to get up and down to food and drink stations. The server, which I assume was per area, was very busy, as there was a large table in the area too. Took a while to get her attention for the bill, but she was very polite. Won't be rushing back to this one.
It was absolutely packed out, yet all the staff were happy, calm and professional despite the obvious pressure. We had pre-booked and were shown to our table on time, and were met by our waitress promptly. She was excellent. We got our food quickly despite the queues, as the food was plentiful and the staff behind the counter were efficient. The food was top quality. Your staff in this branch are an absolute credit to your company. Working as a team, thriving under pressure and friendly to your customers. 10 out of 10.
Can anybody even complain about this place? The waiters are so polite and so friendly. The Christmas vibe and decorations made me feel like I'm a guest in a house, not just in some kind of establishment. Well, it was hard to finish the food, because the portions are big, the prices are decent and the flavor is on top. If anyone is in Formby and have to go for a dinner, this place is a must. I liked the variety of meats and sides too.

Really enjoyed our carvery tonight. The staff were all very friendly and looked after us well, and the food was so good and so filling.nnQuieter than I thought it would be on a Saturday evening but a nice friendly atmosphere.
