Fantastic shop every thing you could want pots pans bedding furniture towels clothes shoes etc
Nice sized department store arranged over several floors selling a wide range of well priced items such as household, clothing, shoes, etc,etc, there is also a spacious cafe on the top floor selling a range of sandwiches, cakes, cream teas, hot & cold beverages, plus limited main meals for you to just sit & unwind. I did find the store much too hot, plus I queued for over 15mins to pay for one item with only 2 people being served in front of me one return & one purchase I was then served by the not very happy lady who just kept yawning the whole duration I stood there!
One of my favourite shops in front of many others shops. Good quality products ,basically you can find everything there like clothes, kitchen stuff,electronics and the list is big. Very good prices all the time of the year.
A department store that is dying a slow death. Top management problem, not keeping up with the times. The staff on the other hand is helpful.and friendly. You can still find Adidas footwear from the late 70's, which I think is great. There are still great finds. It will be sad to see it go in a few years
Never realised the great deals and prices
A large store over 2 floors that is well stocked with well known brands at decent prices and bonus manager sale prices. The store is clean well lit and decorated, the location of the store in Eastbourne is in a pedestrian area on one side and a traffic road on the other, will use again if and when I am next in this lovely town.
Good value shop worth a visit, especially for clothing. Nice clean cafe with a good variety of snacks and hot meals. Only let down is the toilet facilities - definitely need updating.
Good shop with excellent products only one gripe,if large items are purchased ie furniture they don't have any method of delivery ! So how are you expected to get for instance a sofa home without a van and two people to carry it out of the shop ????? -NOW CLOSED-
I love this shop, really wish it wasn't closing. I think that it just needed better advertising as it was a very good shop, quality products at a good price. I done most of my Christmas shopping here. Lovely old fashioned style department store. It is a real shame. Building just needed a little tlc I think it is just Eastbourne branch of Tj Hughes that is closing.
I just have a strong emotional attachment to this very old, and a bit rough for all the years, traditional department store. Visit cafe upstairs with great views. Good selections and bargains. Id shop here first just to support them.
