This top floor of an art deco atrium is beautiful. Latte is watery and tastes like instant coffee. Table tops are left messy and not tidied up frequently.Food: 2/5
The coffee and cake were lovely, the staff were friendly and I was served quickly. But seriously the gents toilet was positively disgusting and unhygienic, absolutely filthy. Does anyone clean the toilets??Food: 5/5
Stopped for a cuppa and a cake. They got our order wrong. Waited ages just to get tea and cakes put on a tray. The empire biscuit was falling apart although the icing was brick hard. Don’t think I’ll be back. Was like this before but I was giving them another chance. Such a shame as west end one amazing!Food: 2/5
Came here on Christmas period and i had a disappointing experience. It was almost closing time and the server warned me that they could do only take away cups and consume outside. Fine, no problem at all, we want just enjoy the terrace looking the complex from the top. What was served it was a very long and bland espresso, but a really disappointing latte with oat milk: it was just bubbling on the top and burned milk mixed with coffee on the bottom. I don’t pretend a nice coffee art but at least mix decently. So two are the possibilities: or the barista have not enough skills to make it, and it’s fine because everyone can improve and it’s a manage’s job to assure everyone receive enough training; or the person i don’t specify if is a lady or a man because i would not be mean but I remember clearly the face wanted to be just mean because i arrived 10 minutes before closing. the staff are always so brilliant here, the coffee is great, but I'm annoyed that we still can't add a tip for them onto our card payment. This really needs to be addressed. More and more these days, people aren't carrying cash and your hard working staff are missing out. Please sort this out asap, it needs to be a priority, it should be a priority.
Ideal Buchanan Street location at the top of Princes Square. Staff training on bank holiday Monday when I was last in so a bit chaotic but friendly. Cleared and wiped our own table to sit down as a group of five, but can usually find a perch without needing to do that. Tinderbox is a Glasgow born and bred business, so we like supporting it and will choose it again if need a pitstop in town. Coffee, milkshake, and toasties enjoyed.
Order a soya cappuccino and a vegan gypsy cream. Cappuccino was decent but the gypsy cream was the best I've ever tasted.. lighter than any I've ever had before. I also got a magic bag from toogoodtogo which had a great selection of toasties and cakes. I sat in the outdoor seating area. There was onlt one other customer outside but lots of uncleared tables which stopped from a 5 star rating. Vegetarian options: There are vegan sandwiches and treats and alternative milks available.
Had a toastie which was fab! And a smoothie, they didn’t have a couple stocked in but the one I did have was fab! Reasonable prices & nice area to sit.Food: 5/5
Given a flashing light similar in Logans Run for anyone old enough to remember. Seriously thought I would loose the will to live waiting for my decaff capaccino &my light to flash. All sorts of coffee passes infront of me, staff change over & finally at last it arrives. Luckily I find a table outside & enjoy the reasonable coffee. Trading on past reputation. I won't be in a hurry to return, infact can see a return to the trusted flask.
Instead of refilling the leaking latte cup I received, she placed it inside a larger, unsightly, and unclean cup.Food: 2/5
