Gordon St Coffee
"Back in 2014, Gordon St Coffee opened our first roastery and coffee shop on – you guessed it – Gordon Street, Glasgow. From the very start, we wanted to do things a wee bit differently. So we took on the caffeine heavyweights and gave hard-working Weegies the freshest, shop-roasted coffee Glasgow could offer. More than eight years later, we bring Gordon St to coffee lovers UK-wide.Because we believe good coffee is unmissable, but Gordon St Coffee is unmistakable."

Here's a four-star review for Gordon Street Coffee: "I visited Gordon Street Coffee this Friday and had a wonderful experience. The flat white was expertly crafted, with the perfect balance of coffee and milk, delivering a rich and smooth flavor. The Americano was equally impressive, bold and robust, just the way it should be. What really sets this place apart, though, is the atmosphere—it's just amazing! There's a vibrant, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay longer. Plus, the location couldn't be more perfect; it's convenient and easily accessible. Definitely a must-visit for coffee lovers!"
I stopped by for an early morning coffee and breakfast. Small seating area upstairs is a nice place to wait for a train. The coffee was superb and the Square sausage roll was a huge slab of sausage with plenty of brown sauce. The perfect breakfast.Food: 5/5
Gordon Street does nice coffee, and it should be a go-to for me, especially as I need to be in Central before 8 am now. However, they add an "optional" service charge, which no one is going to argue over in a shop. For the sake of 13p, I feel that the company has stolen from me. I'm much more likely to avoid the shop than ask for a service charge to be removed and the feeling of having money forcibly taken from you sours the taste of the coffee. They could have just added 15p to the cost of a coffee, and I would have paid it without raising a problem. They should charge the amount that they think the product is worth and pay their staff the amount that they believe the staff are worth.
Flat white with Glasgow roast. A fruity start with a subtly sweet chocolaty aftertaste: Balanced yet flavorful, rich and at the same time bright, fresh tasting but not the common sour type. I skipped many other cafes to try the Glasgow roast and am not disappointed. Up to now my favorite cup of flat white.
Rude staffs with awful coffee. The milk is burnt and filter is unclean. They also charged us for staying in but almost gave us a takeaway cup. We were given attitude after reminding the staffs we were staying in. The coffee in the photo was served the other day. We will not be returning ever again.Food: 1/5
I normally rave about the coffee here and use every time I’m passing but on this occasion the coffee was on the cold side and the ciabatta had definitely seen better days. With an optional 4% service charge for the less than average service, could do better. Would normally rate 4/5, maybe will on a future visit or just go to Greggs at 1/3rd of the price.
Took like close to 10 minutes to have my coffee made which I wish I was made aware of as I came here quickly before my train. I almost missed my train so wish this was communicated to me. My coffee tasted burnt and I had to throw it away so the fact that I paid a service charge for poor service and coffee is shocking.Food: 1/5
Pros: great coffee, love trying out different types of coffee of the week, the seated area upstairs is cosy and unique. Cons: 'optional' service charge - I would think that service fees are included in the overall coffee price? Ironically, I feel that sometimes service is lacking with staff exhibiting anti-people vibes. Finally, the Internet can be bad so not a good option to sit there with a laptop while waiting for the train.
Really, really overpriced. For two oat flat whites, I paid close to 10 pounds. I've been doing my research, and asked multiple cafes in the area what they thought of charging 50 p for oat milk. If a cafe doesn't have decent supplier, they may not be able to offer oat milk for free. However I've been told by all cafes I asked that 50p is just greedy and unnecessary. Really unfair for people choosing to be more environmentally friendly, and unfair to the captive audience of vegans and lactose intolerant customers. Secondly I paid a service fee, even though I ordered take away. I asked if I'd paid the right amount for my coffee, and was assured there was no mistake. Sorry guys! Xoxo
Lovely staff and the cafe had a great atmosphere! The coffee was so good I had to get a bag for at home as well. Also if you have a chance, I highly recommend the pecan bun. It was divineFood: 5/5
