I just want to say that I’m a big fan of this place. I’ve eaten here numerous times and have always been delighted with both the food and the service. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Ciara and Stella make it seem like nothing is too much trouble and Alabama makes the best oat cappuccino in town! Highly recommended!
When I’m in London I look for new places! Found this gem. Excellent desserts! Very pleasant staff, well at least the one that served us. Thank you Svetlana, and thank you for the recommendations. Will be back to try another dish! See you soon.
The place looks great and the food was quite tasty...when it arrived... but the service was shockingly bad. Our food took a long while, despite the place being near empty, and when it arrived, mine was the totally wrong order. The server didn't even come to check on us until after my companion had finished her food and only then realised I still didn't have mine. We had to get up and ask the take out bar twice for water and then go up there to pay. They didn't apologise or make any kind of concession on the bill to make up for the mix up and poor experience. Such a shame that the front of house lets the place down when there is clearly potential in the kitchen!
Ok but stingy. Slightly longer wait then expected for the smallest latte and americano in town! When asked for milk, hardly 50ml was brought to us. Maybe that's just Notting Hill.. Sunday afternoon only Brunch menu, no Lunch. Waited long for waiter to pass to ask for the bill, so we went and paid ourselves. Not the best acoustics either. Otherwise, ok, friendly personnel. Nice bread.
Me & my 3 year old come here many times a week. Tomas always makes us feel welcome and remembers all our usuals. The staff are all always smiley and nothing seems to be too much to ask! Lovely atmosphere
On 26th January we had a very horrible and unacceptable experience at the Timo London bar. We were served by Tomas, and were made to feel unwelcome and discriminated against. We are from Argentina, and we went to Timo London Bar for a coffee at Notting Hill to celebrate my friend's birthday. We have just arrived in London, and we are both studying English due to a requirement for our jobs to improve our level within this aspect. I understand the language well but I am still establishing confidence within speaking. The barista Tomas asked us what we wanted to drink. We asked for a coffee with some milk. In each country or bar coffee with milk is different, and has different names. He presumed we were asking for a Latte, and there was some confusion, and difficuly with us trying to understand each other, and the coffee we would like. He got furious and frustrated stating to us that he had the coffee's that are on the menu, and this is what is available. Then I asked if we could eat some cream cheese toast to accompany the coffee since it was 5pm. He told us that kitchen was closed. I politely asked if this would be possible as on the menu it stated it was a lunch and dinner menu, and we considering that cream cheese on toast is not a difficult request if they were moving onto the dinner menu. Whit a very rude gesture Tomas told us that the kitchen was already closed. His answered very rude and unwelcoming to people new in the country. His customer service was unsatisfactory, and we were made to feel and inconvenience. When he went to attend another table that was next yo us, he told diners that "MAYBE IT IS A VERY GOOD IDEA OF BREXIT" being Italian and since my level of English is a little be more advanced I understood his humiliating words towards us. Therefore, we left the place at that time. I feel sorry for him that he doesn't understand clearly what Brexit means, considering Argentina is not EUROPE. And I have a very good job in mi country, which has enabled myself to come and study here. I am here to improve my English and get to know the city. I do not expect to be discriminated against because of where I am from. The customers on the table next to us could not believe that had been said by Tomas, and were embarrassed by his remarks. I am extremely disappointed from that happened, but I am also equally sad that you have employees within your establishment that possess this closed minded and discriminatory mentality. A dissatisfactory level of customer service and made to feel unwelcome because of where I am from. I would advise against visiting Timo London Bar for these obvious reasons.
Although the place and atmosphere is actually really nice it is unorganised!! Waited too long for food and smoothies! To be honest it wasn’t the best However thank you gorgeous Svetlana for the service you were amazing even if it was so busy! Keep it up with jokes!
I love coming here because of the staff! The restaurant is beautiful and classy. Anjeza, Stella, and Tomas are so helpful and polite. Great coffee! 100 stars!
Come and see us 7on7! We are open for breakfast , lunch, lounge bar and dinners. We are kids and dogs frendly, neighbourhood's lovers and every kind of person carers. : Just opened 3 weeks ago we are improving our service, food and restaurant. Pop by at anytime to have a look to the new place, freshly refurbished! and help us to give to Timo the right place in this marvelous unique London Area! Thumbs up for Timo!!
Went for a drink with a friend, good friendly service... the place is recently refurbished in a very good taste, does not look what it was kitchen pantry . I will definitely come back as me and my friend felt welcomed and it's very comfortable new space.
