I'm a quite experienced traveler, and also used to the comfort of hotels of more than 3 stars. Not that you can compare. I haven't stayed on a hostel the last 30 years, but Times Hostel in Dublin made me wonder why. The room was cleaned every day, including weekends. The staff was more than friendly to me, and whatever question I asked the staff did there best to help me out. Here you pay less but get better accommodation than most 2 stars hotels in GB...

Terrible communication: we inform them we arrive at different time but did not tell us that the first arrived has to pay for everyone. Velux Window on the roof that wakes you up at 06AM Nice to be only 04 in the room and the breakfast/common area is nice Terrible spring mattresses Broken floor in the bathroom, door could not be closed We paid 50 euros a night.

Clean, friendly and comfortable. Close to night life and restaurants. Loved the kitchen!

Loved the experience. The reception Desk was very helpful at times of need. Its in a very safe area also and at the time of checkout I was given a cab so overall experience was very good.

A great hostel - friendly and accommodating, a real 'home from home'. Nothing was too much trouble - our toddler stayed in our private ensuite room (we had an inflatable ready bed), we enjoyed the generous breakfasts each morning, the place was clean and interesting. Staff had ideas, helped with logistics, supplied ear plugs (some noise at night, nothing major but part of central Dublin I guess), spare pillows and extra sheets. Great mural out front, convenient location for transport, will stay again.
