Had Art Afternoon Tea as a surprise birthday present. Excellent tea with 3 cakes created by the chef and inspired by 3 paintings in the hotel. Staff were so professional and happy to help. A most enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend this.

It deserves its rating. Very comfortable rooms, nice and quiet. Staff were the most professional I’ve ever seen in any hotel. They help keep the place running very smoothly. Had drinks in the hotel bar after coming back from a late dinner. Lovely bar, couches and a warm fire to end the night on a relaxing note.

Most elegant hotel in Dublin, steeped in history yet with every modern amenity. Extraordinary art collection. Anyone lucky enough to own or rent one of the Merrion apartments has their own little slice of paradise. Very pleasant gym, first rate indoor pool. Expensive restaurant - it's a shame they're pricing out all but the highest end customers - less interesting atmosphere these days. Garden still pretty but no longer breathtakingly beautiful, since they shrank it to expand restaurant and residences. Friendly and efficient staff. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay or live, for anyone in Central Dublin.

Building is delightful, staff are courteous and attentive. Afternoon tea is sadly disappointing. Tea and coffee are great but some of the cakes were very dry and the second portion of cakes is a bit much. Great to look at but far too rich after everything before it, unfortunately.

We went for afternoon tea on mother's day and it was FANTASTIC. The staff were lovely the food was superb. We were made feel very special indeed nothing was to much trouble and at €49 per head €63 if you wanted bubbly can't complain .🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒🖒
