Charming hotel with an expansive and deep history in Dublin, and a long colorful cast of famous guests. Had breakfast included with Plat, was pleasantly surprised to see their cold juice bar included as well! Definitely my favorite part of the morning. High tea in the lounge is a must. Also a trip to the pool and spa for a stint in the sauna and the steam room to cap off a long evening of walking and sightseeing.nnBed was comfortable but mattress was a bit old could feel the dips where people sleep very obviously and the rooms have paper thin walls. Woke up at 5 thinking it was my alarm but it was the man in the other room’s! If anything is going on in the hallway, you will know. But luckily this is a very quiet hotel so all guests were respectful.
Very busy but beautiful hotel, Stuff are lovely and very helpful especially all the housekeepers. Food was good and tasty.nPrice for 3days stayed for the car park was €100 . Price for all the quality alcohol was normal like in the Temple Bar. Unfortunately there was no toothpaste or toothbrush. Pool wasn’t deep only 1,20m but enough to get some rest , also was there lovely gym and steam room but I’m not using at this time.
Truly a luxury experience. Expensive, but well worth it. The staff goes above and beyond in extending hospitality with a smile. The only small ding would be that some of the front desk clerks may seem a little snooty, but not in an offensive way. Would stay there again and highly recommend.
We booked a Day Use stay for our arrival from NYC. Checked in smoothly at 10AM to Room 777. The smallest room ever but we were there to sleep. Very quiet room facing interior rooftops. Bed and pillows were very comfy. Slept like a rock. Checked out at 5 PM. Glad we tried Shelbourne because now we know The Merrion is better.
I’ve had the pleasure of babysitting at this hotel many times, and each experience has been fantastic. It’s a lively and welcoming place for families, offering a warm and comfortable atmosphere for both parents and children. The staff is always professional and attentive, ensuring that every guest feels at home.nnThe location is excellent, making it convenient for exploring the area while still enjoying a relaxing stay. Whether you’re visiting with family or just looking for a high-quality hotel, this place truly stands out. Highly recommended!
