It's a popular bar with great decor and atmosphere. I was lured in by the live music. A man with a guitar was singing lots of songs I knew, giving it his all. The Geordie Gin cocktail was really tasty. The cocktail menu was extensive. I'd visit this bar again.
I first came here in the daytime where we sat outside and chilled with a few cocktails in the sunshine. Although you are next to a road which can get busy in peak hours, it's still quite pleasant and the drinks are great, especially during happy hour. I then returned on a Sunday night and sat inside. It felt very classy and had a great, chilled atmosphere. After a few drinks we tried the cheeseboard for something to nibble on and it was really nice: not something I would usually expect to eat in a cocktail bar but was definitely better than a bag of crisps. The staff are really friendly and there wasn't a long wait for drinks which can be a problem in cocktail bars.
First visit. Lovely surroundings, excellent range of cocktails, even do half price ones for a limited time on a Saturday . We were there at teatime, but I'd imagine if you were going with a large group, it may be advisable to reserve a table. Staff are so lovely
Nice cocktails and great live music on Sunday evenings
First time in here and I was recommended to visit by my uncle. Cocktails before 7pm are £5 which meant that I had to get a few in beforehand! Seen someone order this one at the bar so I just ordered it too and I have to say it is the best best best cocktail I have ever had. Even the other half enjoyed it! I loved the atmosphere in here! So chilled but lively at the same time. Live music was great too, the singer was amazing and was taking requests which blew my mind! Staff were lovely and so good at their job! Always made sure we had a drink and what we wanted! Would 110% recommend and will be back!
Nice bar in the quayside. Not masses of gable set up for small groups of people rather than couples. Nice cocktail menu. Seemed to attract an older audience on the day I was here. Had Live music on. Musician was very good. Would come back.
I love going to Tiger Hornby, usually with friends. The atmosphere is so lovely and the decor and furnishings are beautiful. The manager is fab and the staff are professional and friendly. Cocktails are amazing. We will be back soon
Dimly lit cocktail bar with affordable menu and comfortable chairs
Usually a great gaff for a beer and cocktail. Mrs was wanting a woo woo, not on the menu. All ingredients available but staff wasn't willing to make it.
Fantastic staff, good selection of quality cocktails and wines, we even had live music
