What can I say to such a beautiful place. The staff were amazing, so friendly and attentive. The food was gorgeous, especially the Sunday lunch, so tasty. The cocktails may not be 2 for 1 like a lot of places in Newcastle, but they are made so beautifully. Will definitely be back to see our lovely scouser Lois. Thanks to everyone at the Botanist Newcastle xx
It was a great place with an amazing rooftop area where we enjoyed a few rounds of cocktails. The bar staff was so welcoming and friendly. The cocktails were delicious. There are heaters in the outdoor rooftop terrace as well as a separate bar area up there. Great atmosphere and cocktails were well priced. We enjoyed our time here.
This is one of the best places to be in the city center, yet it feels like a calm countryside retreat. The ambiance and vibes are truly refreshing. I love being here and look forward to coming back again!
Absolutely beautiful bar with friendly, entertaining staff. This is definitely the bar you want to spend the whole day in, rather than bar hop a spoons. Yes, the cocktails are expensive, but they're good, and the atmosphere adds to the experience. You definitely feel rich when you spend the day here.
We ate here as a group of 8 last night. Our waiter Joe was brilliant - really friendly and helpful with lots of knowledge about the menu. Food and drinks both great and the view out to monument and down Grey Street a bonus! We weren't rushed at all even though it was a busy Saturday night. Would return!
A really nice and cozy restaurant. The interior design is magnificent attached photos and it is completely different from anything else. There option for food and drink. The food is really tasty. The staff is kindly and serve you quite fast. It's isn't so expensive considering that it's located on city's center and inside there is an impressive atmosphere.
From arrival, our visit was excellent. We had booked for a meal for our anniversary and the host congratulated us and showed us to our window seat overlooking Grey’s Monument. Our waitress then approached who again introduced her self and was very helpful. Food was superb unfortunately no Camembert left to share. We had the Hot board and added on some fried and mushrooms and the quality was excellent. Drinks were good although the plant pot cocktail was a tad on the spicy side for me. We also received two complimentary glasses of fizz from the restaurant for our anniversary which was a lovely touch. Cannot fault it and will definitely be back!!!!!
Friendly staff and buzzy atmosphere. Live singer but couldn’t see him/her and sometimes hard to recognise the song. Had a selection of starters to share. Very good scotch egg and chicken skewers. Chips didn’t arrive but waitress quickly removed from the bill.
A nice restaurant to hang out at. I had the table that overlooked the Monument so it offered very good views to the city centre. Ordered both chicken and beef Sunday roast. It was my first time and I'm quite satisfied and enjoyed this little British tradition. I also pre-ordered a glass of prosecco during reservation, it was just 1 pound cheaper, so I don't think you need to mull over whether to pre-purchase the drinks.
What a fun place! We sat at a table with an amazing view of the 'strip' and my wife and I just looked out for ages! The kids were on their phones anyway so they were fine! The food was decent, I shared the kebab for 2 and the kids had chicken and beef burger. No regrets coming here. We had a couple of cocktails which were really cool and the puddings were very good. Our waiter J was very friendly and did everything he could for us. I will come back here again to try out other dishes which should allow me to up the food to 5 stars... Kid-friendliness: Free WiFi for the kids!
