Wonderful little pub- emphasis on little compared to other spoons. Clean and tidy with a few booths and a mixture of high and low tables. Small bar I said it was a small place all lit up on Christmas eve. The Guinness was excellent
Went there before watching the football. Spent quite a bit of money and wa interacting with all the fans in a sociable and friendly way. My brother and I were then informed the opposing fans bought us some food which we obviously felt we he had to eat as they were sat next to us. As my brother went to the bar to order some more drinks he was abused by manager saying we ate some other tables food. I went to the bar to clear the up the matter and I said that the opposing fans said they bought us the food hence we felt obliged to eat it but the real issue was your staff bringing food to the wrong table! I offered to even pay for the meal even though the issue was not ours! Obviously they refused as they knew it was their issue. The manager said my brother had leave even though they took no accountability and provoked the situation. Manager lacked skills and needed training plus members of staff were quite loud and mouthy while I was talking in a calm and collective manner. I know I won’t get a response as I’m pretty sure the manager would struggle to access a computer!
CHARLIE new joiner, made sure our order was correct he even got us extra cheese! Small thoughts go long way! Good food, good service, nice atmosphere can't ask for more on Tuesday!
Good pub, decent management during the day and evening. A few of the younger staff members' attitudes are a bit questionable. Overall for the food, drinks and pricing... can't go far wrong. Worth a visit
The most arrogant, ill mannered, obnoxious staff, led by a manageress of the same ilk. Wetherspoons is a great cheap and cheerful Institution normally with pleasant staff. This place is the exception and should be avoided.
You can't beat the Tich for great beers, a good atmosphere and tasty value for money food! Just had the large breakfast. Great value with a few coffee refills.
Our second visit here, this time I had a vegetarian option, 3 veggie Sausages, chips and beans, with unlimited hot drinks Latte coffee. Parking on the main road in the street outside. There is a disabled toilet on the ground floor, but the main ladies and gents are up the stairs on first floor level. I didn't really like the veggie Sausages, chips were great, beans portion I thought was a bit on the small side. Unlimited Latte was great too. The only disappointment was 3 of us got wet from a leaking ceiling above where we were sitting see photo's.
Great food selection. Good drinks selection. Great deals. Price is alright. Can be very busy at times. Great atmosphere
Its really nice Wetherspoon's pub. Clean and comfortable, with nice friendly staff. Good food, good prices. Its a bit on the compact size but that adds to the great local atmosphere. Whats not to like! Always a pleasurable evening!
Classic spoons. Same as any other. Really friendly staff and very cheap and cheerful prices. It's not gourmet fine dining and the place is a bit tatty. But for the price, the location and the quality of service it's well worth a visit. Don't set the bar too high and remember, you're in a Weatherspoons not a Michelin star.
