Great food and service in a recently refurbished pub that looks amazing. Food service slower than would be deemed acceptable on a not very busy evening. Nearly 30 mins for cheesecake to be served. Overall, a lovely local pub for us to enjoy. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Fantastic places friendly attentive staff. Food and drinks excellent. Car parking you pay but money back via a discount on your purchase.
We were visiting family and have been for a lovely lunch many times in the past. The pub has had a refurb and looks great but...... We waited over an hour for our food and asked a couple of times and eventually were told that our order had disappeared from the screen in the kitchen??? We left without lunch and so disappointed.
Guinness poured wrong, let the team know and they actually said it doesn't matter. Drinks were given warm. Same staff members had no knowledge on drinks... asked for a bitter and was recommended a fosters. Whole experience from walking in with no menus on any tables and having to find our own to deciding to leave without eating was just awful.
I went here to watch 6 nations rugby as they were promoting top billing of their coverage. It was a disaster as soccer gets priority over rugby here. Saw the game with no commentary until half time with very poor seating Not what I expected. They even have a permanent sign outside advertising the six nations. I thought of Greene Kings as a well respected company before.
What a transformation!! Looks amazing. Friendly cozy pub with great atmosphere and food. It’s a go to pub in the area. Oh by the way great live sports and music! Also, staff are so accommodating and friendly. Stacey and team make u feel welcome.
I visited your establishment on Monday of this week for the first time, to meet a couple of friends who often visit. Have to say that I was bowled over by the really friendly and helpful staff, the great surroundings and the excellent food. The kitchen team deserve huge praise too for providing such a great service and delivering meals that were both well presented and hot too temperature wise, instead of tepid as does happen in other establishments I’ve visited in the past. Although I’m around nine miles away, I will definitely be back as I really appreciated the warmth of service and interaction with the team. Wishing you all continued success and my best wishes to you all, along with my thanks.
Finally have a little local place to socialise in that's been fully renovated! Now a modern pub with screens for sports and an entertainment area for pool. Haven't tried the food here yet.
The recent refurbishment has dramatically improved this establishment. Great place to enjoy good beer and food with plenty of comfortable seating. Also, probably the best place in the area to enjoy watching sporting events on several widescreen TV’s .
Nice place however i got overcharged for a mixed grill. A member of staff acknowledged the mistake but did not refund the diference even though we both agreed that what was on the menu is what i ordered and nothing more but again nothing even though they admitted the mistake. In the end i realised that intelegance was not there strong point and left it alone but i am shocked that nothing was done: ive got better things to do than argue over a couple of quid but maybe someone else might not be in that position so please be aware that this might happen to you.
