We rented an elite vehicle from Dollar - Thrifty at stansted airport and we got a brand new Range Rover with less than 200 miles on it. The staff were amazing and very helpful and the car was a blast. The only down side was that we had to leave a big amount of deposit up front which was quite a big deal to us, but the staff did every thing to help us complete our transaction and even found a way to lower the sum of the deposit for us which as mentioned before, we had to pay up front since we upgraded and took an elite vehicle. I wish to thank one of the clerks by the name Carol or Sarah not sure which was absolutely very helpful and a special nice serving lady. I would definitely rent again from Dollar rent a car at stansted airport. They were very good.
I went to pick up an M4 but they talked me into hiring out an X6M, I’m not a fan of the X6 but this was an M so I thought I’ll give it a go. The car was insanely fast for such a big car, the staff at Thrifty were generally good but the best thing was they let me park my car there for while I took the hire car for a few days which was nice. Highly recommend this branch if thrifty.
I never usually write reviews. But I just had to after such a great experience! I would especially like to thank Nicola for making me feel at home. I booked a premium hatchback and really enjoyed the car! Nicola Thank You Very Much! You were so helpful! The guy's at thrifty are really nice. They even provide transport back to the airport! THANK YOU!
Great place to work. Fantastic staff and service with a smile. It's great to meet so many interesting customers. I know this is a biased view, but I have worked for one or two of our competitors and Thrifty is by far the best for customer care and service. Oh and we have some very nice cars to. I look forward working there for many years.
Unbeatable Service and Value! We hired a Citroen c2 recently from Thrifty Stansted, and when we arrived to collect the car, we were offered a BMW 1 Series for a great price which we took. The car was fantastic and the process of hiring and returning the car was much quicker than other car rental companies. We done to Reka and all the staff.
Hands down you can not beat the service and team members at Thrifty Stansted. I've been renting from them 2-3 times a month for the past three years. The team continue to be friendly, helpful and accommodating at all times. It still astonishes me to see so many people post utter dross in the reviews sections for hire car companies, 90% of whom either don't seem capable of following basic instructions READ THE DOCUMENTS!!!, or turn up with no driving licence, passport of proof of who they are, then complain about not being able to hire a £40,000 BMW... I despair. All I can say is well done to Team Stansted for continuing to smile despite all the numpties you have to put up with! Keep up the fantastic service.
This was the first and last time that I will use Thrifty. The customer service people were very pushy. They tried to sell their own insurance, which cost much more than the car rental itself. Having failed with me, I was convinced to “upgrade “ at a cost. When I found my car, it was a car that fell within the type that I had booked, i.e. I paid money for nothing. There are other choices at Stansted; I recommend that you don’t make a rash decision if you rent from Thrifty or you choose one of their competitors.
Booked a car for my sisters wedding end of May...got a free upgrade to a BMW M6 stunning car what a dream to drive...all the ladies in the office they are a bundle of joy and absolutely wonderful. Will definitely hire from them again and recommend this branch to anyone looking to have a experience of a lifetime. Well done!!!
A little bit more expensive then other rentals but the rental process was simple and fast. Got a very nice car and didn't have any troubles. Make sure you understand the return full gas tank policy.
I wish I could give this page a 10* review. Nicest people to deal with. We had to fly to London last minute due to family loss and the fact that the staff at Thrifty were so kind really helped us deal with those few days much better in a practical way. Thank you.
