Pleasant village pub with a slightly worn feel. Great pint of Landlord which I enjoyed sitting outside. Lots of hand written notices re Family's sic welcome but no kids running around.
Stopped for Sunday dinner and it was delicious.Even the fussy 9 year old loved it.The staff are lovely xx
Santa's grotto looks amazing
I have come here to meet a fellow I've never actually met in person before though I've known him 10 years or so and having done so have also had a chat with the landlord. Really nice landlord; really nice pub too. Great atmosphere and I must come back again. I live Staveley way. Yep this is a fantastic pub IMHO. Couldn't rate it higher. ----- Visiting on 6 January 2023, just to add that the place if anything has improved on the last time.... And this time my dog was made welcome too. Happy New Year everyone
Had the funeral wake for our lovely mum, thank you for a wonderful spread, respectful service and kind words , Bessie loved it here and she certainly would have liked today
Enjoyed a pint. Good atmosphere with a bit of karaoke and games. Highly recommend
Called after a walk around Linacre Reservoirs. Very quiet for a Saturday lunchtime, only a couple of people in. We sat outside and had food and soft drinks. Fish finger sandwich and bacon and goat's cheese sandwich were lovely and proper home cooked chips were great too. Friendly service, though it may have been a long wait if the pub had been busy. Overall and pleasant enough experience.
Nice pub sat outside in the sun seating area lovely staff beer was great too
Brilliant food,nice pint and great hosts.Thats all you need in a pub.
We had the Malaysian menu and were mighty impressed.
