Unique pub in heart of Chesterfield. Two rooms dripping in history which are not linked without going outside and back in again. Beer not bad either.

Had the most amazing spicy pumpkin and lentil stew in this intimate pub that was almost as old as Adam. An amazing building and excellent hosts. Great menu!

Lovely old pub with good beer and a friendly atmosphere. Top barman on when we called, and good prices too - will be back.

An absolute gem of a pub in the heart of chesterfield town centre, the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble

Curry on Friday night is excellent with a pint of Young's London Stout.

Wednesday night, free quiz, lots of fun and a basket of free snacks mmmm

After a fab meal previously, we came for seconds. Sadly disappointing. All 4 meals were overcooked. Cheese on burger inedible and fish massively overdone. Not sure what went wrong as food is usually nice. Very long wait too. Gutted. not sure what went wrong. Won't go back for now

I used to love it here. Now the fridges are empty, so no bottle choice. It's absolutely freezing in here too. So cold you have to down your drink and leave. This sort of pub needs to be warm and cosy. Shame.
