I had agreed to meet a friend here as at was only about 7 miles from home, yet I'd never been before. He couldn't make it but i decided to go! A good range of beers on the pumps including Chatsworth Gold, which was my choice! I stayed inside but The Lamb had a fairly large sitting-out area which was almost full. I'll be back, a nice pint served by smiling, friendly staff behind the bar!
A proper 'mesters' pub, dog friendly, great beers served by welcoming staff. It takes you back to the good old days of the real pub atmosphere. The locals are friendly too. Owned and run by the Peak Ales brewery so the beer is kept in top condition. Swift Nick on draft!!
Popped in here after riding past a few time and realising it was a Peak Ales pub. Their Chatsworth Gold is always a nice drink and this one today didn’t disappoint. Friendly welcome and polite service. It’s a traditional local pub without the nonsense of chain ones. It’s worth a stop by
Absolutely great little local pub. Superb beers and atmosphere with super friendly bar staff. Well worth a visit for a beer or two
Nice & friendly village pub. Great beers!! Lovely atmosphere . Highly recommended!!
Friendly pub, friendly staff and friendly locals. Great beer and now we’re local we will be back.
Unpretentious, friendly village pub, now owned and run by the local Peak Ales brewery. Relaxed but lively atmosphere - proper 'traditional' pub!
Visited last week, won't be going in again as Children aren't allowed in if under 14 years old to which they said this is because of their licensing and with my family being in the trade too I know this isn't the case and is just personal choice of landlord which is fine but signage would be good before you go in as there was one saying dogs are allowed in but nothing about children. There's no sign up saying no Children allowed maybe this should be more clear so people don't have to come in and the children be made to feel unwelcome. Sitting outside isn't being made welcome.
Lovely pub. Everyone most welcoming.Rooms: 5/5
Very friendly and efficient staff. Very friendly customers too. Good local beer.
