"Owned and managed by business partners Bryan and Dave for the past 11 years, the goal is to provide a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, where all patrons can enjoy great beer from the Marston's extensive range, great food sourced from local suppliers and most importantly a great warm welcome.Situated in the National Forest close to the brewing town of Burton Upon Trent and the thought provoking National Arboretum, guests come from afar and are always welcomed by our local revelers.The kitchen is under the stewardship of Pompey born Daniel Evans. Stayed here recently while visiting friends. Lovely room clean and nice decorated. The pub itself had a lovely atmosphere and great location in centre of the village. Decided to eat in the pub itself - food was excellent recommend the steak and selection of ales and beers was fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed and good value stay - couldn’t knock it and staff and landlord were very welcoming! Be back again Parking: Parking on site and easy access
A pub that manages to superbly combine a traditional local pub with a space for amazing food and a great dining experience! Always found the food to be great and deals like Steak Night really appealing. The support the pub has provided in the community for residents needing meals or even local sports is really inspiring and makes me want to come back whenever I can! Congrats to all the staff involved...
Spent one of the best evenings ever at the Shoes last night. Everything was just perfect. We took advantage of the 2 Steaks and a bottle of wine for £30 and it proved to be an absolute bargain. The steak was simply amazing, cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was superb with Dave at his all time best. I don't think we have laughed so much for a long time. Thank you for such a wonderful evening. Food & drinks: Food was amazing and great to see the bar staff using fresh herbs straight from the garden for our cocktails.
The service, food and interior are absolutely amazing. Every time I've eaten here the food has been delicious. I especially love the Sunday dinner sharing platters. The wine and beer are fantastic and the staff are always so accommodating and lovely.Service: 5/5
Would highly recommend a visit! Absolutely brilliant service, wide range of amazing drinks and the food was delicious! We went with a group of friends and we all loved it! Would definitely recommend to everyone. If you want that lovely pub feel in the bar side which is also dog friendly or have some luxury on the louge/restaurant side, there's something for everyone.
We have been twice recently, once the in bar off the bar menu and once in the restaurant for steak night. Both were great meals at our favourite Barton pub - faultless beer, food, service and value for money! We will see you again shortly!
Love this pub never disappoints always a broad range on the menu caters for 2x members of my family who are gluten free but the most important thing is the consistency in quality you know your always going to get a good meal a decent drink and friendly staff Highly recommend
Fantastic restaurant with great food. Staff are very friendly and always going that bit extra to make your experience the best! Best pub in the village! Footy on too which is always a bonus!
Fantastic bar/restaurant, food is always amazing offering a good variety. The staff are lovely and always go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Vegetarian options: Lovely choice of vegetarian meals on offer Kid-friendliness: The kids are always welcome and love going. They offer a great children’s menu and if there is something in particular they want the chef always makes it happen.
The Three Horseshoes is simply my favourite place to eat and it never disappoints. Excellent service and atmosphere, superb menu and fantastic variety through the specials with options for vegan, vegetarian and those with intolerances. Vegetarian options: So many! Kid-friendliness: Always friendly with our young family and a great menu for children Parking: Some space available Dietary restrictions: Lots of options available and clearly labelled
