This pub has always served a marvellous pint of JHB, one of my favourite pints of beer. They also serve good food to. But it's all about the beer.
Came to see the mill and go for a walk and decided to have lunch here. Wasn’t sure looking at the place, but the reviews were good so decided to try. Food was excellent with good sized portions and reasonably priced. Kids shared a burger and chips and spent ages playing with the games provided! Best of all was the service; the guy who was waiting, serving, clearing etc was absolutely brilliant didn’t get his name and was a credit to the owners. Proper service with a smile and a chat, despite being run off his feet! Will definitely return if we come back.
Absolutely fantastic place to enjoy a Saturday after a long walk. Service was superb, food, drinks and atmosphere were amazing. Live fire to sit by
Lovely little pub! Stopped for lunch with the wife and daughter and the service was very quick and done with a smile. I had the ploughman's which if I'm honest, I would have liked a bit for what I paid but it tasted lovely. My wife had a sausage baguette which she said tasted really good and my daughter had southern fried chicken and she smashed that. Well priced with a cosy local pub feel which has a collection of board games which we loved and a decent garden area. Do pop in for a nice relaxing drink or even a meal. Definitely want to come back and try the carvery on a Sunday!
Booked to go for a birthday meal, on getting there was told that there was limited food available as they finished serving lunch at 2,30. Also they were hesitant to tell us they did not cater for children on a Sunday. So had to find somewhere that catered for children at such a late time. On checking their Website, it doesn’t say anywhere that they don’t cater for children. I shall not be recommending people to go there for a meal.
We stayed here after a long and stressfull way from London with our Campingcar. But unfortuntally Meadows Campsite was closed and we were very tired. Many, many thanks to the owner of the pub who allowed us to stay here overnight on the car park. And we also had a lot of fun in the pub. We will come again in summertime and than stay longer in Meadows Campsite an visit Three Horseshoes again.
Stayed one night for B&B , the room was priced at £85.00 But the standard did not warrant the price , the bathroom carpet was stained around toilet , with black mould on the skirting board , the shower cubicle also had black mould in the corners , unfortunately the breakfast was a let down as it was very greasy
Lovely Sunday carvery in a quaint village pub, highly recommended
Never had a bad pint here and on the occasions I have had food there it was good.
Great pub in this beautiful village. Decor is somewhat dated but don't be put-off, staff are friendly & the drinks/food very good.
