This place never disappoints. The food, hospitality and drinks list is superb. Definitely the best gastro pub in the area. The fish dish I had tonight was up there with the best I've ever had. 10/10
Gorgeous food and lovely staff. Little mix up with the bill, but it was busy and easy to forgive after the amazing nut roast i had Definitely recommended! Vegetarian options: Only a couple of vegetarian options, but good ones! Parking: Big car park just outside.
Very nice dinner atmosphere. Good service, nice dishes. Would definitely come again.Food: 5/5
A fantastic place. The staff and manager were very friendly, informative and a great atmosphere all round. The food was lovely. A great selection of food for those with dietary requirements. It was noted on our booking that we had dietary requirements. On arrival the manager without needing to be asked, took us through the menus designed for those with dietary needs and ensured that from the kitchen to the table that the food made its destination without cross contamination. For the quality of food and service the prices are very reasonable. Thank you The Crown Inn!
We were absolutely blown away with our whole experience at The Crown Inn. We booked a table for two including 1 vegan and were greeted with two separate menus upon arrival without even having to ask, and at every opportunity the menus were presented this was the same and it was noted who was who. The friendly service from the staff was impeccable and nothing was ever too much trouble. As for the food, I can say with ease that the vegan arancini was the best vegan dish I have ever eaten, the sticky fig pudding was closely followed. Everything was beautifully presented, and the portions were plentiful. Will be booking another trip up just to visit this beautiful gem of a restaurant again. Vegetarian options: Plentiful well thought out vegan/ vegetarian options. Such an eclectic choice of dishes from those that appears time and time again across menus at other restaurants. The whole dining experience was so easy, others with dietary requirements will understand what fuss it can be in other establishments, which is why The Crown Inn stands out so highly. I really couldn’t rate it any more highly, hands down my favourite restaurant anywhere.
Myself an my partner attended tonight. She made them aware she was vegan when booking, a few weeks ago, upon arrival and without prompt we were presented with a standard menu and vegan menu for her. Just a brilliant touch that VERY rarely happens. We had 3 courses each, I had 3 beers and she a soft drink with a total bill for all under £100. The vegan food was some of the best she has ever eaten and for myself, the food was the best I’ve had at this price range. We were easily expecting a bill of £50-£100 more! A lot of young waiting staff, but they were all exemplary, overall a 10/10 experience and we will definitely be back when we return this way. Vegetarian options: Full vegan/veggie menu. All well thought out and complete dishes. 10/10.
We've been twice in the last couple of weeks. Food is delicious and service is fantastic. Both occasions we were made to feel welcome by the owner and staff despite them being very busy! We will definitely be back and kicking ourselves for taking so long to visit!Food: 5/5
Although still being refurbished The Crown is very welcoming. Opted for the blade of beef but unfortunately very grisly and not nearly as melt in the mouth as expected. Received a discount and apologies from Sherry who provided excellent service. Will go again if chef sorted his life out
Nice place, no table cloths and because of the anti bac, being used tables were sticky... Very busy all tables in use, did ask for thin sliced beef, but got door steps, sadly. Dessert was nice, although not very hot, as you would expect for a brownie, was a little on the heavy side, however the three Raspberry dips on the plate were 10/10, well presented dessert, main dish not so, very piled in the middle of the plate, could have done with more gravy. Priced like a restaurant, rather than a country pub, but the location was good and decor very pleasing
An amazing find in the lovely Broughton. The Crown Inn is located in a beautiful place and the indoor looks just as nice. The food was also a wonderful surprise. Every dish was well executed and well presented. The peculiar flavours might not meet everyone's expectations but it certainly exceeded ours. Price also absolutely justified and probably the most important part, a really kind and professional service. Can't give less than 5 stars. Definitely recommend anyone nearby to pay The Crown Inn a visit, you won't regret it!
