Good location for visiting Nottingham which is only 10 minutes away bay car. The site is well maintained with new shower and facilities block which is one of the best I have seen on any campsite. Pin code security gate which is great. There is a pub 5 minutes walk which has a good section of wines and beers and serves food, the carvery is average but the food cooked to order is very good. Easy access from the A46 and no small lanes to navigate, plenty to do and see in Nottingham especially if you enjoy the nightlife.

We were looking for a place to stay with close by bus connections so we could travel about. This location was ideal as the bus stop was a couple of minutes walk to the stops either into the nearby towns or into Nottingham City Centre. When we got there they had experienced a lot of rain so quite a few parts of the site were flooded and muddy. Our pitch was a little muddy so the whole time was messy but obviously this couldn't be helped and other pitches had been worse affected. I did ask for an alternative pitch but there were non suitable. The shower block was just amazing. Each shower room is so spacious with its own little seat, wash basin, hooks for hanging clothes etc, shower and plenty of room to get changed. There was also separate hand basins by the toilets. The whole area was so clean I was really impressed plus the added bonus of under floor heating. Every morning and evening it was cleaned through without exception. There is an indoor washing machine, tumble drier and washing up sink. In the same room there is also a fridge and freezer for public use. There are also sinks outdoor as well. For a £5 deposit you can get a special key to allow you into the family washing area which would be really useful for some. There is a small shop in reception which is open most of the day but shuts for lunch and at 5pm for the day. There is an indoor swimming pool which my daughter loved, it wasn't very deep but was great fun. There is a small park and this is maintained well. I believe they are currently working on a new reception area with cafe and shop and I believe once this is completed this will take the site to another level. There is a stonehouse pub just around the corner by the bus stop which we found great. I would recommend this site for a nice break but if you require entertainment this will not be the site for you. I also recommend to ask for a plot not under a tree as the motorhome took a lot of cleaning once we got home.

We need somewhere to stay just for 1 night and stayed here. Im disabled and have to say I was very impressed with what looks like new toilet/ washing etc facilities that seem to have just been installed. The disabled toilet/shower had been very well thought out, shower wad excellent and easy to use. It made our stay SO much nicer for me. Beautifully clean There appeared to be several family washrooms. My son and husbamd said the showers they used were great too with more than enough room. I would use this site again!

The new washrooms are beautiful! The shower rooms are huge and everything is kept spotlessly clean. Lovely and warm with the heated floors! The staff are very friendly and offered advice a number of times on the local area. The free range hens are a bonus, you can purchase their eggs in the shop. The pitches are a very good size and even when busy, you have plenty of room. The swimming pool was a nice treat.

Ignore the bad reviews, this campsite is beautiful, staff Where really helpful and the pool was an added bonus. The only thing I would say is that the changing facilities in the pool area are not the best but you could always wrap a towel round you and go to the brand new wash rooms which are the best we've seen!!! Lovely park area and lots of wild life. My daughter also loved the chickens.
