Great place for a wander around. Lots of bird watching/photographic opportunities with many bird hides. Busy with families , couples and singles. Good pathways around the water ways all flat not muddy and easy to negotiate with lots of seats scattered around therefore good for young and old. There is a cafe with toilet facilities and a gift shop dogs not allowed though. The cafe has panoramic windows providing lots of light and views of the water and birds. There is an outside seating area too. Well worth a visit.

First class venue for bird watchers. Our granddaughter loves visiting there, starting with feeding the Swans and Canada Geese plus mallards etc. Then to the main building which houses a shop and cafe plus various interesting tasks and information for children. A walk to the river Trent is lovely in spring, summer and autumn, but in winter can be very muddy. A day out with picnic there is so relaxing and much to do for the kids and tranquility for adults a few hundred metres from a shopping centre and main road. So close to Attenborough, which is an ancient village steeped in history, particularly the English Civil War

Love this place, just wish all cyclists would have a bell on their frame as the paths can be a little tight and a bit of a 'ding ding ' would help us step out of the way quicker. Car park is ample, cafe over priced really as there is a Costa and a McDonald's Hurst down the road so I can't see why they are charging so much. Nice gift shop and awesome views of the wildlife and passing trains.

Great place to see nature. Friendly staff and accessible facilities. The soup is good as well! Staff are helpful and knowledgeable. The centre gets its energy from renewable sources, including solar and using the heat in the reservoir for a heat pump. Brilliant! Great walks around the site including local Bird bird watching hides. Good for walking, push chairs, and cyclists.

Lovely lovely place with a good variety of habitats. Shame that there's an eyesore of a carpark slap-bang in the middle. I understand it must be there for accessibility but it looks like not much thought has gone into its aesthetics. Nearby, there is a beautiful visitor's centre, which almost makes up for all the cars. Hides are found throughout and benches dot their way along the paths. I highly recommend a visit.
