I’d give them 0 Stars if I could. As a tenant paying £900+ for 18 months you’d think the service would be half decent. It became so clear that they don’t communicate with the landlord at all. Only concerned with putting the rent up at each oppotuinity which is acceptable when you feel like you’re getting something in return but we definitely were not getting anything in return. Overall no investment in the flat we lived in dispute being “outstanding tenants” according to their annual check on the flat. Finally decided enough is enough, let them put the flat on the market and we’ll move out. Only to find they put the flat on the market for less than they proposed that they could achieve in the renewal email to us. 2 weeks down the line and no viewings on the flat yet! I’m sure the landlord is looking forward to a few months of void and then having to reduce the price to get someone to move in. Tenants and landlords both avoid at all costs. You will definitely regret choosing this company.

I lived in a property managed by Thornley Groves where we had no heating all throughout 1 winter. Countless other problems with Thornley Groves meant we took a case against them to a government body. After many many months of fighting we only received minor compensation - showing the tenant is not very well protected against tenancy agents! Avoid at all costs!!!! These are the worst estate agents you can imagine and I can only hope you are not subjected to their "service" that my household was.

Shocking service, 1 month and still no hot water or heating and its the middle of winter. Id rate it worse if I could.

I've never dealt wth a more consistently incompetent group of people in my entire life. They're a caricature of what people dislike most about letting agents. All the other terrible reviews seem to confirm this isn't just my experience. Any communication will take weeks to resolve, so be prepared to be continually chasing them if you need anything. I had multiple appliances break at different times, on both occasions they took weeks to resolve the problems, and in both instances replaced the appliances with different and clearly cheaper ones. Don't count on getting your deposit back without a long and drawn out fight with them, I'd cleaned before leaving but they've tried to deduct over £100 for 'cleaning costs' (plus £40 admin charge for the privilege), they will not actually specify what needs cleaning and just keep referring to 'general cleaning', 'dusting' and 'wiping. Utterly useless. Avoid at all costs.

These are the most useless people we've ever dealt with. We had a hole in our bathroom floor for a full year, and they took six months to repair our boiler! No-one is ever bothered to reply to any emails, calls, etc. They have also tried to overcharge us for extending the tenancy by £60 from what was stated in the contract, and when we mentioned this, they just said: 'that's correct'. They are very unprofessional and don't ever say 'sorry'. Worst service ever!
