I can't recommend The Yard highly enough. I’ve been a member for a number of years and I still enjoy every session. The coaches are super knowledgeable and genuinely care about helping you achieve your goals, regardless of your starting point and mine was low!. The atmosphere is always fun and energetic and the variety of workouts keeps things interesting and challenging, never a dull moment in there! .
I've been a member with The Yard since I moved to the area in 2017 and cannot even consider leaving such a brilliant gym. All the coaches and members foster an incredible atmosphere and togetherness while also being considerate to people and charities of the local community. I've brought my wife into 'Crank life' and I can see a day where our daughter trains here too- these guys and ladies here really are the best.
I have been going to The Yard Peckham for 6 plus years. From the invaluable coaching and programming to the great community- I could not recommend them enough! This gym is truly for everyone, those looking to hone in their strength gains/z and those looking to try something new. I was one of the ladder, and I am grateful I joined.
I’ve only been at The Yard/CRANK for a few months but it’s one of the best gyms I’ve come across in my many years of training. Great equipment, a wonderful and varied timetable and excellent coaches. The team have utilised the space excellently and have created such a welcoming environment. Would definitely recommend! There is something for everyone.
The Yard is incredible - having never done CrossFit before and having some health concerns I was nervous to join, but the team are brilliant. Shout out in particular to Gareth, Charlie, Kath and Marta for being brilliant coaches. They are all experts and strike the difficult balance of giving careful guidance without overwhelming new members. They foster a great community which is open to everyone and supportive of all sorts of goals - everyone I have met in the classes are friendly and welcoming. Thank you gang!
I joined The Yard a couple of months ago after giving up my previous sport. I shopped around for a few different options with ClassPass, because I wanted to find somewhere I wanted to stay training for a while. I settled on The Yard and I’m really pleased I did. I’ve found the coaches to be very knowledgeable and thorough in their training, the gym is in a good spot and well kitted out, people are kind and friendly. There is also a competitive element for those interested and the ability to scale workouts appropriately for differing abilities.
The Yard is more than a gym, it’s a community of like-minded people who want to be stronger and healthier. The last 7 years have transformed my fitness. My workouts are a highlight of my week - as much a social event as an opportunity to sweat profusely. The coaches are fantastic - combining technical knowledge with the right balance of encouragement and fun. What’s not to like?!
I’ve been coming to Yard / Crank now for two years and honestly I love it. The trainers and members are so friendly and welcoming. There is a ridiculous amount of choice across the two concepts and loads of in house comps to get involved. In addition open gym allows you to train in peace without fighting for a squat rack like you’d have to in a commercial gym. I wouldn’t train anywhere else.
I started CrossFit at The Yard about 7 years ago and was in my 50s at the time. I was a little nervous at first but intrigued about CrossFit. From the very first class I was welcomed and supported by the coaches and other members. The coaches here are first rate and the community and friendly atmosphere is outstanding. I have met a great new tribe and The Yard is very much my second home now my family may argue actually my first.
The Yard is my favourite crossfit gym i have ever been to! The people & coaches are great, it is honestly the best environment, I can't compliment them enough. Would recommend to anyone and everyone, from complete beginners to the pros!
