Our welcome on our 1st night was amazingly friendly and helpful nThe hotel is very clean, the toilet smells so fresh.nHas 2 separate bars depending on your mood. Prices are reasonable, and service is fast and welcoming nWoke up in our room feeling refreshed from the night before and walked down to the breakfast area, smart, clean, and welcoming waiters and waiting staff.. no waiting around, straight to a table of our choosing.nLots to choice from the breakfast bar and drinks.nI went for the traditional breakfast and my partner went for the slimming world friendly dishes.nThis afternoon, we hope to use the spa area and pool. I will update the supposed to be highly rated.nTip, When booking, ring the hotel for rates to get the best deal.nPrice match if you find a cheaper rate.nWould I use this hotel again.. yes, a big 5 star on everything.
We stayed at the Wrightington for 3 nights over Bank Holiday weekend. Our room 129 was spacious, spotlessly clean and the king-size bed extremely comfortable. The hotel organised for some of our family, with small children, to have two adjoining rooms which worked extremely well. On the Sunday, we were given a large table in the lower part of Bennett’s Restaurant with access to a small alcove when we were joined by other family members for lunch – making a total of 20, including 7 young children dining. The food was piping hot and plentiful and the small niggle with our vegetarian pre-order was sorted out immediately by Sean, the Duty Manager, who was on hand to check that everything was going smoothly. We must commend Sean who did a brilliant job of making the whole process, from booking to leaving the hotel, very easy – he answered all our questions promptly and was extremely accommodating with our choice of food. After Sunday lunch Sean sorted out a space where we could meet and chat together over hot drinks – he is a real asset to this hotel.nThis is a very friendly hotel; the staff are always welcoming and happy to help or answer any questions. We were greeted on arrival, and whenever we passed through the lobby area, by the receptionist on duty.nThe pool and gym are exceptional! Our grandchildren made very good use of the pool during our stay.nOn our final evening, when family had departed, the two of us dined in Bennett’s Restaurant. Karen was brilliant, she was very professional and very welcoming, but also made time to chat as she passed our table. This made for a very relaxed meal. We really like this restaurant as the plentiful fresh vegetables, accompanying the main course, are cooked to perfection!
Cant comment on on rooms as didn't stay over but absolutely wonderful! Had a facial which was gorgeous and relaxation room was lovely. Afternoon tea was yummy and the shot of tomato soup at the start was so good I wanted more! Used the facilities afterwards which again were really relaxing. Only down point was not enough staff about near the restaurant to assist but a minor thing compared to a lovely day,thank you.
From the moment we arrived,the staff were very professional and the place was spotlessly clean.nThe massage was excellent and the two ladies who did the massage were very nice.nThe afternoon tea was excellent and all the facilities were excellent too.I would highly recommend anyone to come here for a spa day,very enjoyable Mrs Debra and Joan Bushnell.
Fantastic venue and host for our wedding, could not have been more helpful throughout the wedding planning process when our original venue cancelled.nnSean was fantastic host throughout and nothing was too much trouble. The room looked amazing and had a great sunny private outdoor area for our guests. Food was also amazing!nnWe are so glad Wrightington was our wedding venue.
