At the time of the visit the hotel had been opened for four months. New car smell. Rooms spacious and modern there's plenty of plug point for all your devices plug points if wherever you turned. Staff friendly and helpful. Menu for evening meal basic but acceptable. Ran out of salad. Breakfast selection good.

Beautiful new hotel with everything you expect in a hotel chain. Excellent position for the Wigan Warriors games too but set back enough from the roads to be very quiet. Staff were really friendly especially the chef's at breakfast and excellent check in and out service

My recent visit to Holiday Inn Express Wigan was nothing short of amazing. Upon entering the hotel I was hit with a sudden blast of warmth, not from the central heating, but from the very friendly and helpful staff that occupied the front desk. Having travelled the long distance from London, by car, the receptionists were very attentive and eager to get us in our rooms. As we, four people including myself, stayed in separate rooms, the receptionist with great energy and a bright smile made it her mission to get us as close to eachother as we can by moving around the rooms. Speaking of the rooms, not one speck of dirt nor dust can be found. The beds were well made, well cleaned and well presented. The bathroom proved no issues either. It was as though the room had just been built and furnished! Should you ever visit Wigan, or already live there and are in need for a decent hotel (price-wise, too) then please look no further!

Brought my mum here whilst she had to have her central heating fixed. Mum has cancer and the staff were brilliant. Could not do enough to help us. Food and service was excellent. Room was lovely. X

A huge thank you to Stephen and Hilary. Also there team Rachel and Steve at the front desk upon our arriving. I had made a mistake in the booking. We were looked after without fuss and made to feel very welcome. After returning from a night out late and asking for a takeaway. (All closed) . The night staff the name of i sadly can remember very kindly offered to cook a pizza for us ( over and above his duties) . A huge thank you to for that. As regards the room it was large with a very comfortable bed and huge shower in the ensuite THE MOST IMPRESSIVE WAS THE ROOM WAS SPOTLESS WE DID LOOK As regards staying here again when visiting the UK most definitely we will Thank you again Kieran and Ursula Moneymore Derry Northern Ireland
