Super friendly staff, limited but decent menu, nicely located in Highgate with street parkingFood: 5/5
Really lovely visit to The Wrestlers on a typically cold and wet Sunday in April. The expansive open fire was a welcome greeting into the pub with low lighting, comfy leather sofas, low bar with stools and many an ale on tap and candles a-lit on the tables. I’d booked a table for two for Sunday lunch and we ordered the Welsh lamb roast, with extra cauliflower cheese which was very generously portioned and absolutely delicious - roast potatoes in particular. Service was quick considering it was a busy Sunday afternoon and staff were friendly and reasonably attentive. Definitely worth booking a table if you’re in the Highgate area or you’re in London and fancy a lovely Sunday lunch!
Great food in lovely old pub. We had the Sunday roast which was great very tasty and a good portion size. we also had a cauliflower cheese as a side which was was lovelyFood: 5/5
Stepping out in North London for a change and couldn't have had a better lunch. It was surprisingly quiet but perhaps something to do with being a little early 12.15 and perhaps the Queen funeral weekend. Regardless the welcome was great and the service efficient, friendly and relaxed. The roast beef was top notch and you can't beat decent horseradish. Really good and the Eton Mess was excellent albeit on the sweet side. Oh. Cauliflower cheese as a side was nice. More cauliflower and less cheese so didn't feel too heavy.
Friendly staff and the best fireplace in the area. Cask beer- usually Pride, Tribute, Boltmaker kept in good condition. They keep a note of when a barrell has been changed, unlike other pubs in the area. Otherwise I think their beer offerings are poor-Carling, Moretti, Stowford press cider etc. They could definitely improve here. Somewhere like the Duke of St Alban's is way better in this regard. Or more locally, the Rose and Crown. But I'm leaving a 5 star for the well kept cask beers and the fireplace. Cheers.
Okay. So this space has a lot of the locals come woth friends, family and lovers.. Oh and lovely dogs. This space is warm and cosy. Could do with setting the lights a little lower as its pretty bright. But didn't take away from the feel. The food Sunday roast was actually REALLY good. The beef was tender and everything on the plate well seasoned. Tasted even better than it looked. The veg roast was also delicious and we'd definitely go back especially for the roast AND good service. Service was on point. Very friendly staff indeed. Makes all the difference. You'll might have to book a table though as many of them were reserved and we just about squeezed and a small table in a cosy corner. On another night, might not have been so lucky. So call ahead. Unless of course you're heading over just fir a drink. Drinks selection is decent. Nice beers and okay wines to choose from. Enjoy!
The ambience was reminiscent of a by gone age. The beers were lovely. The staff superlative. The food is great, varied options. Can’t fault any aspect of The Wrestlers.Food: 5/5

Love the Wrestlers. It’s our favourite spot for Sunday Roast in the area, compared to other pubs. The quality of the food is definitely supreme. During the week, the food menu is different, and I really recommend you to try their calamari
