Wotton Hatch was nothing short of amazing. Really great service, food was real tasty and dog friendly. Its under new management and it shows. The staff handled a large group like us very well, especially as we came earlier than original booking. They were polite and professional.. Great manager Anna Maria, who was a complete joy to have as someone serving and tending to us. She's really good at what she does. We went for a hike around the area, so came here for lunch and it's really homely and cosy with outdoor dining areas too. I will be back! Great way to spend my Sunday afternoon.
Went to the Wotton Hatch last night for a meal and ordered the "Dirty Burger". At £17.25 I had pretty high expectations. The description of "bacon, lashings of cheese, beef dripping sauce and fries" sold it to me. I was confident I had made the right choice ! Oh how wrong I was ! as you can see from the photos. The cheese was minimal and I got a single rasher of bacon. The tomato was paper thin and it came with a single leaf of lettuce. The burger was much smaller than what I was expecting for the money, the side of fries fell short of a portion in my opinion. The side of dripping sauce was really nothing to shout about. My 9 year daughter suggested it should be called the "Stingy Burger" and I think she has a fair point. When I gave my feedback to the Manager he informed me that this was cooked to the pubs specified standard, so this is not an isolated case ! This is what you can expect if you order the "Dirty Burger". Had it been described as "Burger" and priced at £9.95 I would not be writing this review.
Such a beautiful bright and airy space, with an entire separate vegan menu that was so appreciated for my partner. The food, ambience and service was perfect and we had a two-minute snow flurry as well, as icing on our cake.
Great country pub in the Surrey Hills. Large car park and outside/garden area, looked nice on the inside, and the staff were friendly. The views opposite the pub are wonderful, and there's lots of places to go walking. Only downside is the main road next to it, but tbh it wasn't that bad.
Came for the Valentine’s Day menu. Well priced at £32 for 3 courses of delicious food. The cocktails were also nice Service was good The chairs were comfy and the bathroom was really pretty too. They have a big parking lot and outdoor benches which will be nice in summer
Stopped for a quick lime & Soda in an old cycling stomping ground. Views still fab, changed for the good inside while still having attained it's old charm. Not marked for food as didn't have any . Parking: Medium sized car park what you would expect for a pub out in the sticks. Wheelchair accessibility: Outside stone ramps.
Lovely pizza, fantastic toilets, less fantastic service from seemingly the manager. Whilst we were paying for our meal our waitress made a comment to a passing, much younger waitress, saying ‘Do you hate me now?’ in regards to her having told her off for something she’d done prior, mentioning that the young ones need to be punished to be kept in line… Felt like it was a bit harsh, and the managerial light blue jeans and flowery top seemed a bit underdressed in comparison to the much smarter dressed young waitress. Felt like the comment was unnecessary ‍
Derelict building with derelict food. Terrible service. Not Good food. Mediocre prices. If you like bad service. Warm beer. Dire food. Then come here. Otherwise avoid.
Booked for lunch for birthday celebration. Booking very easy, online, and recommended as restaurant can get very busy. We had an excellent meal, and the staff very friendly and efficient, even the Chef served up a surprise .
Smart yet cosy, great decor. Neck Oil on tap. A warm welcome and a lovely setting right on the Wotton Estate.Service: 5/5
