This was such a jewel to find on a long hard day of driving. While we were too late for dinner, the owner offered to order us in takeaway. She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The bar was such a welcome place to unwind after the long day. It’s so cozy and quaint. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable, quiet place to stay. Rooms: The room we stayed in was large. Coffee provided. Very comfortable. Safety: We felt very safe during our stay. It seemed like a family style Airbnb. Food & drinks: The takeaway she ordered for us was delicious! Is he also warmed some plates for us so that we could eat on real plates using a real fork and knife. The bar was very nice to unwind in. Cozy and quaint.
Kelly and Paul are excellent hosts, they go above and beyond for their guests. Tastefully decorated , clean and functional room. Continental self service breakfast and nice evening food. They are on quite a busy road but ideally placed for Tatton park.Rooms: 4/5
Visited as a family and were welcomed with a smile. First time in a long time in a pub that our meal was cooked from scratch. Home-made chips were amazing. These were literally 'hand cut' and not frozen powdery rubbish. Paul chatted and joked with us as if we were regulars. We are going back soon without a doubt.
Went to meet a friend at The Windmill, 2 months later I ended up with a £170 parking fine with Debt recovery company. Couldn't argue it so ended up paying it. Be aware.
I wont lie, we were dubious and did not have high hopes because the price was so reasonable... But we were very pleasantly surprised to find the room was huge, big corner shower in the en-suite, all the usual brew station etc. Cant fault it, staff were canny, if there was an option to upgrade the included breakfast to a full english I'd have been all over that. We will be back!
Great stop off location if travelling far south and want to break journey, no fuss pub grub and friendly staff. Also just off motorway junction making it easy to recommence journey after a restfull night.Rooms: 4/5
Called in on a whim and just as the carvery was about to end. The staff could not do enough for us. They rustled up a vegetarian nut roast for my wife and vegetarian roast potatoes and gravy so we all enjoyed a fabulous carvery. The pub itself has so much authentic character and the staff have such a welcoming can-do attitude.Service: 5/5
Had a wonderful home cooked Sunday lunch today for 5 of us, really tasty and served quickly. The staff here are friendly, food is great and the price is really reasonable when so many places are expensive. We will be back again.
My wife got a flat tyre and pulled into the Windmill's car park and was so glad she did as she was helped by the super helpful friendly staff, l arrived a while later and we couldn't sort out the flat tyre so called the breakdown service and went for a drink in the pub which was worth it and again what a lovely friendly bunch with great beers and a tea for my wife and the food looked and smelt fantastic. We will return as soon as we can and thanks to the Windmill for your help it was very much appreciated
Amazing pub/restaurant, Hubby and I went back to our little gem which we found and we were shocked! This pub has changed to a Diamond. This pub has changed so much ,fabulous decor,Kelly and Paul made us feel so welcome. The food was freshly cooked home made and tasted amazing well worth your money!. We highly recommend this pub. There is a large room for families to dine not just for couples. Food & drinks: Food was fresh, hot and a good choice of food. Well worth the money. You must try the apple crumble cheese cake.
