Decent pub food. Very cheap and popular Sunday lunches. It opens at 12pm on a Sunday and doesn't take bookings for Sunday lunches, being first come, first served. The selection of ales could be better. There is seating around the side, where food isn't served for those that just want a drink. For those wanting to sit outside a selection of blankets are provided! The aren't many vegetarian options, the Sunday lunch option being vegetarian sausages, which are unfortunately not homemade. A home made nut roast would be a winner with my girlfriend. There is a reasonable amount of parking, but it can fill up when busy. All in all not bad.

Had lunch today with my wife, daughter and son in law. Although the place was very busy, we were found a table immediately. The service was excellent and the food was well presented, perfectly cooked and very enjoyable. The staff were superb and very friendly. An excellent experience and highly recommended.

I visit The Widdy again and again as I've NEVER had a bad meal. The roast beef is fantastic and the steak pie amazing. There is also a good selection for non-meat eaters. Very reasonably priced and such friendly staff. I cannot recommend The Widdy highly enough.
