Incredible food, the chef was a finalist on masterchef. George the dog is adorable. Kat and Michael, the owners, are lovely, calm and happy. There is WiFi but no phone signal. Everyone that visits the pub from the local area are very friendly. A true little gem in the Mitford/Morpeth countryside.
I called in on Christmas Eve at lunch time while completing a walk from Morpeth through Mitford and back round to Morpeth. It was my first time calling in despite having passed it multiple times on other walks. Lovely atmosphere when entering and always great to see dogs in a pub who can wander around and mooch for me, anyway. Lovely, warm, nice feel and a pleasant pint of Stella, too. Like Arnie said, I’ll be back.
Nice pub ,dog friendly and in a great location, only had drinks as they weren't serving food due to a staff shortage .
Brilliant pub in a village setting. With a quaint feeling to it, there's a lot of history behind this pub! Owner behind the bar is very friendly and let me sample one of the beers before I ordered a pint of it. Resident dog, George, is a credit to the team and so, so friendly. We wanted to order food but the pub is currently without a chef. However we were informed that they are in the process of bringing someone new in. Just means I have an excuse to go back to support this pub in the very difficult times. If you want to help support bars through this pandemic then please visit this establishment as it's got a very nice vibe to it and the owners are brilliant! The pub itself has a vintage feel to it and it's been a long time since I have had a drink in a pub that feels like a real pub. Thanks for a good experience to the friendly owners of this bar. We will be back!
