Proper pub. Great selection of beers, real ales, lagers and ciders. Friendly staff and great gaffer. Keep it up, Paul!
A great weekend get away staying in a "proper boozer" the staff are amazing! Friendly and so helpful. You will find this pub in a fantastic location tucked out the way but so close to everything you could possibly need. This inexpensive little hidden gem is a great place to stay and not only do I highly recommend it, I can't wait to get back.
Love sitting at the bar good craic with the lass serving see you in 2 weeks
Lovely pub with very friendly and welcoming staff - think we called in every day when we were staying in Amble last week - has had a good makeover since we were last in Amble pre-covid. Now light and airy and a very pleasant place to sit and have a drink.
A nice friendly local pub with a relaxed atmosphere. Good beer and when the staff weren't busy serving drinks they were busy cleaning. Reasonably priced, just what you want in a pub really.
The staff were friendly when we checked in and there was parking available. That's the positives out of the way first. The room was the smelliest room I have ever been in. I felt nauseous as soon as we entered the room. Despite trying to spray perfume and Lynx several times, it still really smelt. The room itself is very small as a double for 2 people. The shower leaked, the curtains were coming off the rails, all you could hear was banging from the door and the bar was noisy downstairs I'd imagine it would be very noisy of a weekend - I'm aware it is a pub. I understand it is a budget room but I've stayed in better 'hotels' which were far cheaper. You can stay in a Premier Inn for cheaper. Would not recommend or stay again.
Friendly and lively local with a good atmosphere and efficient service. Huge screen for watching football, and an impressive collection of Newcastle United shirts attached to the ceiling. No cask ales but a nice pint of Guinness.
Grubby little place inside, needs updating some, but the people are lovely , barstaff etc very friendly. Limited food, but what we had was nice and proper home made chips yummy.
Excellent little Pub. Very social people.
Friendly proper old pub. Don't be put off by the looks!! Only the toilets & lack of real ales let's it down. Great place to watch sports.
