A lovely old pub, with a great vintage. Known locally as having been an old "spit and sawdust" venue, it has now transmogrified into a well decorated speakeasy. The kitchen serves high quality food, the cocktail bar is reasonably priced and well decorated, and the main bar itself is of a classic design, and staffed by pleasant, courteous and friendly bar staff. When I questioned them about their beer selection, they had no trouble with talking me through my options, and their choice of shorts was varied, with their whiskey selection being particularly good when I visited. I'll be back here for sure.

The place has a nice ambience, the background music works and the decor is fitting. The downstairs bar is spacious and well-served, and the room upstairs has a cocktail bar which, when open, serves a variety worth trying. With a decent selection of drinks available, whether you're into beer, wine, cocktails or seasonal, this place can cater for you. On top of that, the Thai kitchen makes great food, so if you're hungry I recommend stopping by for a curry and coconut rice, or if peckish at least get the Thai prawn crackers. You won't regret it.

£5.20 for a pint of Guinness! Ouch!! The most expensive I have found so far in Hove. Is it worth paying the 50p extra? Errrrrrr....... Nope. Plenty of other nice pubs around.

The wick is great little pub I find, busy because of location but reasonably quick service, the cocktail room upstairs is good on the weekends, haven't tried the food though so can't comment on that.

Beautiful place, very little selection of wine and spirits. Nice and tasty bar food.
