Absolutely gorgeous pub and well worth the detour off the direct route to Cornwall. Charming interior, friendly staff and delicious food made us allround happy. The food is freshly prepared which meant that due to the busy holiday season one or two choices were unfortunately sold out, but that's the peril of coming to properly fresh and local produce. All second choices were just as thoroughly enjoyable. Great drinks selection as well. Definitely recommend going out of your way to check out this lovely place.

Light, airy and spacious inside. The staff are polite and helpful, the customers are friendly too. Good food if a little pricey, which is annoying as I'd like to go there more often but couldn't afford to. I will definitely go back.

Somerton has a lovely, small library well-suited to the size of the town. It has become a community hub, but is under threat of closure by Somerset County Council to save a few thousand pounds. It's far too valuable an asset. It must be kept open.
